Amazing hotel here and a perfect scenery. The rooms are very large almost like a miniature apartment. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Guests have two pools to swim in during hot days. Guests also have access to a private beach with an access card so you have your own beach with a tidal pool. Dolphins often swim past this area and we were lucky to see dolphins from the pool deck. The food was absolutely scrumptious and delicious. The hotel is very secure and well maintained and it definitely feels like a dream land

Excellent place for a romantic getaway. If you are looking for a small, intimate setting, this is the perfect place. There were only 10 people here one night, which was the most during our trip. They make you feel like family, and cater to your every need. An absolutely amazing experience. Food is five stars. Animals drinking out of our plunge pool, excellent game drives with coffee during the morning drive, and cocktails during the evening drive. We had the change to get an insight into several other lodges there on the Manyoni Preserve, and this one was the best. A more mature customer base, no children, excellent amenities, I really can't say enough good things about it.

Nicely groomed with many freely roaming animals. It had a rustic feel with luxury treatment. Staff very attentive. Outdoor terrace had great views of the river and animal activity. Enjoyed the many welcoming fires roaring around the property. Nice to have entree choices for dinner. Game drives were excellent.

What I liked most about my stay in Richards Bay was how convenient, quiet, and well-located everything was. The town has beautiful beaches, easy access to amenities, and a relaxed atmosphere, making it perfect for a peaceful getaway. I also enjoyed dining out—Sindu Restaurant offered amazing food that really surprised my palate, and Zula Beach was perfect for drinks, club vibes, and even breakfast with a great overall experience. What wasn’t my favourite is that there aren’t many activities within the town itself, but it remains a great place to unwind and enjoy the coastline.

Mkuze itself is a little dreary however there are game parks aplenty to choose from. We did a game drive in Manyoni which is a quick 30 mins from where we were staying. The Jozini dam is worth a visit, with its abundance of hippos, crocs and birdlife. There isn't anywhere really to eat other than at your accommodation - there is an engen and decent spa and a very good butchers in Mkhuze itself. A good stop off if driving through to Kosi Bay border to Mozam.

Was a great adventure, Lodge facilities very peaceful and relaxing overlooking the water hole. Homely food in the restaurant. Roads need attention, but am sure will improve with time. Communal kitchen and braai areas had everything needed. Beautiful scenery, sunrises and sunsets.

We stayed at the forest lodge and we loved it - the private beach is gorgeous if you are willing and able to walk the 600 meters including a short steep bit over a dune. We were a bit surprised that the town doesn't seem to have a public beach except the paid beach at the nature reserve... I would have been disappointed if we had accommodation in town. It may also be a let-down that all the restaurants only seem to have a distant (though lovely) sea view. If we stayed longer we might have discovered other options... It doesn't seem like an ideal destination with children under 6 or people with mobility challenges... But the forest lodge is a perfect destination for any able-bodied nature lover and I believe school-aged children will love it! We didn't visit the nature reserve so I can't comment on that beach but will be sure to visit is as well next time.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful hospitality I received during my stay this past weekend. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. The food was exceptional and truly exceeded the value of what we paid — generous portions, great taste, and beautifully presented. Gogo’s warm and caring hospitality made the experience even more special; it is clear that she loves people and takes pride in making guests feel at home. The pool experience was also fantastic — clean, refreshing, and perfectly positioned for relaxation. I was equally impressed by the quality of the furniture and the attention to detail in the décor — everything is top-class and thoughtfully put together, creating a comfortable and elegant environment. Thank you once again for the outstanding service. I look forward to visiting again and will certainly recommend your lodge to others.

there was very little that impressed me and certainly not value for money. roads to the resort are terrible with many potholes . weekend buffet was really good but a la carte for the rest of the week is mediocre with some items not available. the complete resort needs a revamp . no effort is made to entertain guests hot pools were really good but there should have been refreshments available nearby ( 300m ) to get a cooldrink.

Firstly the do not have a generator when electricity goes off. The checkout time was 11:00am thats what the lady at the reception said, did they not chase us out the house around 09:45am.They wanted to clean the rooms.i was so disappointed When we already checked out they chased us out of their yard. They didn’t even let us wait inside the yard for the car which was going to take us home. They said once you checked out you not allowed to wait inside you have to be out of the yard. They do not care about your safety at all🙁😞

Although our stay at Imvubu Lodge was brief, but it was truly a refreshing and enjoyable experience! We appreciated the beautiful bush-inspired setting and the tranquil atmosphere throughout the lodge. The dinner served was delightful and added to the overall enjoyment of our visit! As a suggestion, it would be worthwhile to consider providing electric blankets during the colder winter months to enhance guest comfort even further.
