The house was in a residential area, away from the town centre, but the sliding gate meant cars were off the street and secure. The breakfast was nice but only choice of cooked breakfast was scrambled eggs on French bread, but they were a little cold.. Nice choice of home made yogurts, and also nice homemade bread. The large TV 85" in the lounge was available to watch, and I was as able to use my account access to log into 'Sky sport now' and watch my favourite football team win 6 - 0. !!

We loved our stay here. Sadly, the weather turned and we couldn’t do the Tongariro Crossing hike as we’d planned. But the lovely woman at check-in gave us several other shorter options that we could fit in before the storm hit. We spent an entire day curled up on the comfy sofas in the lounge. The staff started the wood stove (yes, this was in summer! :), and we felt grateful to have such a lovely place to ride the storm out. The staff was all very helpful and we appreciated their service with a smile, especially so close to Christmas. If we’re lucky enuf to come back, we’d love to stay again.

I stayed at multiple cabins during a roadtrip through New Zealand. The cabin from this resort was the best equipped: TV, fridge, microwave, etc. The beds were super comfortable and the cabin spotless clean. The shared kitchen, bathrooms and laundry were clean as well and well equipped. At the same time the price was competitive. The spa (open air swimming pool with hot(!) water) is just few hundred meters walk away. If I would visit Taupo again, I would stay again at this resort.
