Located in the heart of Tongariro National Park, Skotel Alpine Resort offers a restaurant, a hot tub and a terrace bar with a fireplace. Most accommodations boast stunning mountain or region views. The highest hotel in New Zealand, Skotel Alpine is 10 minutes’ drive from the Whakapapa Ski Fields. Tongariro Alpine Crossing is 20 minutes’ drive away. Accommodations options include rooms with an private bathroom and dormitories with shared bathroom facilities. All accommodations include access to the shared kitchen and lounge area. The Terrace Restaurant offers stunning views of Mt Tongariro and Mt Ngauruhoe and features an à la carte menu. Guests can relax in the hot tub or enjoy a game of table tennis. Ski facilities on site include a ski shop and ski drying room.
