Romantic Hotels in Chester

Excellent breakfast and service there. Front desk staff very helpful. Location close to the centre of Chester with pleasant access from he hotel. Canal added to the ambience. A gym and indoor swimming pool are part of the hotel. A short walk to convenience stores, bars and restaurants (including oven-fired pizzas!) in Brooke Street.

I lucked out and found an underground parking spot upon arrival. The room was nice and the bed was massive King which was very comfortable. HVAC control was excellent also. Staff were friendly also.

Great staff, so very helpful. Special thanks to the evening staff and the dinning room lady. The room was fine with plenty of sitting room and library spaces to read or write. A bit out of the way though. Food was good.

Stylish, and an excellent location.

I loved the location, being situated on the River Dee is perfect! We walked everywhere, along the River and through lovely gardens, on the ancient wall, to the historic racetrack, to the cathedral, amphitheater, restaurants and pubs. We felt very safe. It was great watching boaters on the river, morning and evening. The room was nice size, very clean with comfortable bed. Breakfast was tasty with nice variety, we had dinner at the restaurant twice also, very convenient. We had a car so onsite parking is a huge plus. Every staff member was pleasant and helpful, no exceptions. Chester is beautiful and I would definitely choose to stay at The Boathouse again.

The stay was great. The staff were so attentive nothing was too much effort. Breakfast was good, the porridge was tasty. Close to train station and short 15-20 min walk into city.

Fantastic location, very central for our Christmas stay and short distance from our concert and the cathedral. great rooms and food.

A delightful room in a private space. The room was kitted out with everything you could want, topped off with a little chocolate on the pillows, a generous amount of coffee and tea all in a peaceful surrounding. The bed was super comfy and everything worked. Wonderful!

The room was gorgeous. The owner has imagined every single thing that a traveler needs and has made a very well-furnished room. The property appears to have been recently renovated and no expense was spared. The room was well appointed with comfortable duvet and pillows and linens. The bath sheets provided were soft and ample. The snacks and tea service were top shelf. It was a pleasant atmosphere and a very nice hotel. We will definitely return!
