Everything was even beautifuler than shown on the pictures. Errol and Venita are very fine hosts with attention to the guests. Beautiful conversations. Our room was even beyond. Nice pool, beautiful garden, private parking, good and compleet breakfast. If we vist oudtshoorn some time again without no doubt we will stay with Errol and Venita. We forgot one of our bags. Errol brought it up to us on our route through the Swartberg pas. That was more than we could wish from them.

Stayed here on a road trip from Western Cape to Gauteng. The luxury tent was a great experience. Very comfortable bed and wonderful views on the porch of the tent. Great bathroom with jacuzzi bath in the rear portion of the tent. The hosts cooked a lovely dinner and breakfast. The Swartzberg Pass and Cango caves are very close by and both worth doing if you're in the area.

This is really a little gem of a guesthouse. The staff is extremely nice and helped us book some activities, the rooms and common areas very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. We were particularly impressed with the design an comfortability of the rooms. You can really see that a lot of thought and care went into all the little details. Book if you have a chance!

It was an exceptional stay at the Gumtree Guest House, and Gerry was the perfect host. I felt very welcomed! The house, terrace, and pool are well maintained, and it's all sparkling clean; complimentary coffee and tea in the room are also a big plus. But above all is the host: Gerry is a fun guy, very friendly, offers help with everything AND he is a great cook. I usually do not do breakfast, but I was so happy that I went: it was delicious food, and we had a good talk and laugh, and I went with loads of recommendations. Definitely recommended!
