Excellent stay at the Parkside Apartments. The location is right in the center of Herbolzheim, next to the city hall (Rathaus). Well equipped (kitchenette, dish washer, washing machine) and very clean. We stayed in an attic appartment which was spacious and well designed. Temperature was quite ok in mid June. Not sure how it is in hot summer days. There were two fans in the rooms already available. They also offered a self check-in and we needed this since we arrived at 23:30. You need 15 minutes by foot to the train station and then with the bus/train+bus, it takes under 30 minutes to get to Europa Park. Highly recommended!
