Spacious , clean and comfortable. It was quiet and the host was very friendly and kind . We felt very welcome.
There was meticulously attention to detail and we only wished we could have stayed longer .

We only live locally but used as stopover when attending a gig at Brewery Arts which is short walk away, as are the towns bars and restaurants. Decor is stylish and modern, but cosy and fittings are to a high standard. Easy check in/out and helpful owners. Highly recommend:)

IrelandJust beautiful! Great flat in the center of Kendal. Super clean. Great kitchen and cooking space. Comfy furniture and bed. Nice shower with rainfall, and plenty of hot water. House was quiet, even though it was in the center of Kendal. Just really lovely. I'll definitely stay again!

Location for us as a family is key . Right in the heart of Kendal so walking distance to some fab pubs the host recommended and a 1 minute walk away from a fab little park that my two girls (6 and 2) loved - even I enjoyed the zip line . Train links to Windermere ( around 15 walk to Kendal station and a very pretty walk )
The cottage itself - gorgeous original features , two good sized bedrooms and all the utensils you need if you fancy cooking . Loved it

Doodle Den with a living room, a bedroom with a soft double bed and a well equipped kitchen is very spacious, extraordinarily clean and well kept. Vicky is a very friendly and supportive host. We loved our stay at Doodle Den and regretted not having booked more nights. Thank you, Vicky!

Our room was very spacious. We had a kettle and a fridge, a shower and a bath. The towels were lovely and thick, and we appreciated the robe and slippers when using the pool.
I enjoyed being able to book a lane and have an early morning swim
Breakfast was lovely - we had a table overlooking the gardens which are very well-maintained, and staff were very helpful

Lovely property with interesting layout of the stables which is where we stayed. No bathroom on the main floor despite a four person bedroom and kitchen on the main floor. Only one toilet and shower for eight people!

Our room was at the front of hotel overlooking the gorgeous grounds.The balcony was a bonus as the weather was unusually warm for the UK.The reception staff were excellent, friendly yet professional.Room was clean, well thought out in terms of utilising space & quite sound-proof considering the proximity to the road.

The snug was just as expected from photos on line . Enjoyed having the small seating area and being able to prepare breakfast in the kitchen . The bedroom upstairs was spacious with storage and chair .

The greeting from reception was so welcoming, we were upgraded to a King Room because the hotel did not have details of our booking on their system from the Booking.Com. But were able to verify by interogating booking.com system. The overall cleanliness was excellent, the room spacious. We ate in the resturant and the food and service was very good. the breakfast was good quality and delicious. The grounds are excellent.
