United KingdomWe had the most tranquil weekend at the Charcoal Cabin. We were greeted by the lovely John, who showed us around and explained how to use the heater, shower, toilet, and all the cabin’s features. What John and Dinah have created here is something truly special, full of heart and soul, and a peaceful escape in the most stunning location. The cabin was easy to find, and we spent our time exploring the nearby forest, having lunch in Llandovery, playing games and vinyl records in the cabin provided by John and Dinah, and cooking in the outdoor kitchen. The next day we did the Four Waterfalls Trail, which was incredible. We wish we’d booked for more than one night, it was perfect. We can’t wait to return in the future!

Magnificent views around the property that has been done up superbly and only a 10 - 15 minute drive into Llandovery. I wouldn't hesitate in booking again.

The young man immediately said he would see if we could have a room with less stairs. This was sorted quickly. The room was spacious and spotless, with a very comfy bed. Breakfast good.

lovely relaxed place to stay great hosts Jill and Mike do all they can to make you comfortable and at home.
Lots of lovely things to see and places to sit and enjoy being away at a home from home.
breakfast is excellent and variable for all tastes.
This is our second time there and won't be our last. If you like a character property full of interesting areas this is great
Stairs are involved to get to the bedrooms so if you are of limited mobility would be best to call them first.

All very satisfactory - unusual to have no carpets in bedrooms etc but I guess easier to maintain cleanliness! Overall a very pleasant stay.

Very spacious accommodation with excellent facilities. The host, Daniel, went far beyond my expectations to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. I would definitely stay at Tranquil Getaway again

Ideally situated for exploring Wales on motorcycles, Llyn Brianne Dam only a short ride. The staff were really helpful and we were shown to our room, nice touch. The ales were excellent as were the meals, the meals appear home cooked and good quality, exactly what we required after a days riding. Breakfast again was excellent, full Welsh. Excellent value for the money.

The Inn is gorgeous, and bright inside. Rooms are beautifully appointed, clean and quiet. Location could not be better for walking around and exploring Llandovery, or to head out more into the adventures Wales holds.
Karen and Mark have created a lovely space, and the food is the best I’ve had in my 6 week UK travels, and perhaps you’ll also sit in the spot King Charles occupied on one of his visits to Llandovery. There just isn’t a more romantic, curated stay I could imagine, The New White Lion is a true highlight.

We were given a warm welcome and the lady at reception kindly took our luggage for us as we were taken to our room. The dinner was fine, with a good range of choices, though the two very helpful ladies working at the bar and also serving food at the tables were very hard pressed on a busy evening. Breakfast choices were good though the one lady tending to busy tables and serving good food was rather overstretched but very courteous. All in all v good.

Excellent location - especially for kinking in the western Brecon Beacons. Comfortable quiet great sized room. Breakfast was good .... as was the evening meal and beer. Very friendly staff providing a warm welcome.

We really enjoyed a few nights here whilst visiting the Brecon Beacons. Tamar and her family were such nice hosts and made us feel very welcome and looked after. The breakfasts with homemade muffins were a highlight, as was a walk through the woodland on-site, full of bluebells. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Overall we found the B&B perfect for those walking in the area/looking for a home away from home. We would definitely stay again if visiting nearby!
