United KingdomThe property is very close to the town and the ferry so definitely walkable but note it is does end with a challenging hill. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly and I couldn't ask for more in that respect. The bedroom and private bathroom were very clean and tidy, noting a short stretch of shared corridor between the two. The bed was comfy and the house/neighbourhood were quiet so I slept well. This was my first time in a home-stay type setting and would definitely recommend it and would do it again where there is an obvious cost difference to equivalently positioned hotels.

Breakfast was good. Architecture of this massive Victorian building was amazing. Bedroom was spacious, well appointed and had a chandelier. Hotel was within walking distance of the ferry terminal.

As a Brandane born and brought up on Bute I was promised a room with a view of the bay "at no extra charge". Our room was in fact at the back looking out to unkempt trees through a dirty window.

Was really well looked after and the owner went above and beyond what I have usually experienced got to know you and had a wealth of local information to share which enhanced my holiday. So friendly too breakfast was more like being in company of friends, which as a solo traveller I enjoyed. Was a lovely spacious family room on the ground floor with excellent seaview.

The sea view from our room was beautiful and serene. A lovely sunset. We were welcomed in a friendly manner and the lounge, dining room and our bedroom were very nicely furnished . The whole place was in very good order.we were pleased with everything.

I stayed in the family room, wonderful light and views from the big window (photos I uploaded are taken from the bedroom window). Comfy bed, nice extras such as bathrobe, tea, coffee, biscuits provided.

Nice sitting area for eating and drinking, nice decor that was / is currently being upgraded and maintained, food was enjoyable, presented well. Bed in room was firm but comfortable, nice sea views from the bedroom. Compact bath but good water pressure. Plenty storage and seating area in the room.

Good value for money for a small four room apartment with sea view. Warm in the middle of winter with radiators in living room and bedroom. Although self catering, breakfast/snacks supplied which was greatly appreciated especially for a one night stay like mine. Hosts very understanding when I had to rearrange dates due to ferry cancellation and moved booking without penalty. Good communications from hosts who kept me updated re ferries and other arrangements.

Lovely room where we were upgraded as ours was not ready. Great view of the bay and easy walk to eating places. Lorna was a lovely host and added suggestions for walks and eating places even if we did not make all of them. Overall a delightful stay.

Our room was spacious and comfortable and the sea views were amazing. Breakfast was delicious and made to order. The breakfast and communal sitting rooms also had great views of the sea. An enjoyable stay.
