breakfast and dinner were superb, as was the fun of joining in a quiz night! all the staff went above and beyond, as did the locals.

This is an exquisite hotel, located near Chatsworth.......you feel like nobility, after visiting Chatsworth and then staying here! It was a superb experience to do both. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff treat you like visiting royalty! We had dinner in the garden room and loved it.

Very clean and lovely staff. Had a lovely stay in the Brown room that left me very relaxed. Food was delicious and close to Chatsworth to explore the estate and grounds.

The location was perfect! I was here for a small, relaxing getaway in the countryside, as I've been living in a busy city in Spain working as an instructor while completing my PhD dissertation. I couldn't have found a better spot for that. It's right on a walking/cycling/riding trail in the heart of the Peak District. It's easy to get to any of the nearby towns from there. Plus, the room was charming and cozy, with plenty of cushions on the bed and a small tea/coffee station. You can tell that a lot of thought and care went into decorating it and making sure guests would feel welcome. Also, lastly, I can't forget to mention the amazing breakfasts served at the café! I could go on and on about the waffles, scones, and eggs benedict. In addition, the staff was incredible and always welcoming.

Beautiful hotel with amazing access to Monsal Dale. The onsite food options are brilliant and very tasty. We particularly loved the breakfast skillet at the Canteen and the sticky toffee pudding at the Stables. The rooms were lovely and cozy with comfy beds. We also can't speak highly enough of the staff. One of our party was feeling unwell so we asked that the room be left undisturbed whilst they slept. The staff left extra towels and a note in the second room to ensure we had everything needed. All around a lovely experience in the most beautiful location.

Fantastic location just far enough outside the town to avoid the crowds but close enough to walk.

We know the area so the location is convenient for the local villages. There's a number of pub eateries within a short distance and so many different walks to explore regardless of the weather.

location of Rock Mill is excellent, close to all amenities, towns, walks and attractions. rock mill itself is a lovely building with the apartment fully equipped with what you need. dogs welcomed they even have their own wash station. excellent.

It was a very high tech and luxurious apartment in a lovely location. Easy to access the apartment with clear instructions .

First class property in first class location for exploring the Peak District. Apart from the 'deposit' payment of £150 which was hidden in the Booking.com details it was perfect. The deposit should be highlighted when you BOOK not afterwards. I have never in 40 years of travel had to pay a deposit for 2 night stay. But rest assured the apartment and our break was superb :)

The apartment was fantastic, all new, very clean and modern with everything you need for a few days away. Plenty of parking with easy access to the property. Great location for exploring the Peak District.
