The lodge was beautiful although the boiler stopped working and made clunking noises on our last night

We used it as a base to get to Bristol Airport the following day. It as a 16 minute drive to the Airport from where we stayed so ideal for us. It was really affordable thanks to the Booking.com discount. It was clean comfortable warm and had great facilities the restaurant was close and the food was excellent, highly recommended.

I was traveling with my 82 year old father and we had originally made reservations for one night. Before we traveled to Axbridge we had to rearrange our trip and I called Graham to ask if we could extend our stay by 2 nights. He was so accommodating and gracious to our needs. When we arrived he could not have been more welcoming and helpful with our bags. I loved the design and comfort of the inn. The full English breakfast was delicious and there is a nice assortment of delicious jams and jellies for toast. There is one pub directly across the road and more in Axbridge. Thank you Graham and your team for your superior customer service and friendliness. I am not finished exploring Glastonbury but if I make it back from the States I’ll definitely stay there.

Our lovely host, Patricia, kindly asked about dietary preferences beforehand and we were treated to a luxurious breakfast that was varied, fresh and tasty. We loved the local produce and the care and attention put into presentation was really appreciated. Patricia was warm, welcoming, patient and kind from the minute we arrived and gave us useful information about the local area , what to do, timings for visitor attractions etc. Compton House is gorgeous, well maintained with beautiful artwork and ornaments inside. The garden is spacious and quiet, lush and green.

Stayed here to catch an early morning flight from Bristol. Lovely location for woodland walks, a game of tennis, a swim, spa, decent food and coming back to an old English style comfy room.

Nothing could have been better. Beautiful room, exquisitely decorated, everything worked, The hosts are super nice and helpful when needed. Location is optimal, not too close to the busy part of town. And oh, the view is stunning. Beautiful and charming in every way.

It was a beautiful, peaceful location very close to Cheddar Gorge. The Lodge was lovely and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and we slept really well. We will definitely go back next year.
