Nice hotel not far from Tikal. Lovely hammock to relax in. Free filtered water was a bonus. Large bed and our room had a lovely lake view.

It's a hidden treasure in El Remate. I loved the room and the view, although the heat was intense, and the only cooling option was a fan. Fortunately, the hotel has its own energy plant, allowing us to use it during town power outages.

The owner was amazing, even waiting for us when we arrived very late for checkin. He helped arrange transportation to/from Tikal. It is dog friendly & he didn’t mind that we left the dogs in our room while we went to Tikal. The room was clean & comfortable. The grounds were amazing & well kept with beautiful plants. Hands down would come back to stay again for longer!

Very pleased we stayed in El Remate as it was close to Tikal and the border with Belize. The hotel / our room had lake views and we swan from the dock close by.
The room was very clean , we had the end room so had the best view. Nice balcony and close to shops and restaurants .
Friendly owner , Humberto, organised a great tour to Tikal ( 5:30 am pickup ) with a group.

It's super close to the public beach at the lake. Bruno is so nice he let us use his kitchen while we stayed there!
Our room was simple but comfortable and the wifi worked well.

All the food from the restaurant was delicious! The rooms were spacious. The property had many different spaces for relaxing and lounging. We loved the coffee on the patio every morning and the staff was outstanding! We hired Luis for guiding us in Tikal and he was a superb birder! My husband is a birder and he was the perfect match for us! We hired him to guide us on 2 additional trips while we were there. So glad the hotel connected us with him. Thanks so much!

Really tranquil spot in El Remate. Very well constructed and designed with health and leisure in mind. Staffs were very nice. Had a family room which was large with nice features. We were dropped off by a shuttle in El Remate by the main road; about a 2 mile walk to the hotel or you could likely take a tuk tuk.

First of all, the booking assistant for this property is outstanding. Great service. The property is insanely well located. On a lake, backed by a jungle, really convenient to tikal. Rooms are not super luxurious, but were more than adequate for us. Service was incredible, and again, the location was phenomenal.

Lovely location. No view from our room but great views from the pool and restaurant. We could easily hear our neighbours in the adjoined next room. So, did not feel very private. Room small and could do with some TLC ie. curtain had a hole, bathroom lights kept flashing on and off. Staff very friendly. Food tasty and portions very large. The proximity to Tikal is a bonus.

They were very accommodating and let us check in early. Since there were few others staying there we got to see a couple of rooms and choose our room. The shared kitchen is very useful. Owner is friendly.

Everything was great!! The rooms are really spacious and the beds (with mosquito nets) are very comfortable. The outside kitchen area is very well equipped with all the basics including salt, pepper and oil.
The location is set back from the main road and is 1 minute walk to the collectivo stop to Tikal (30Q there and 25Q back). It's also very close to several street food options, restaurants and the public swimming dock.
