Great staff, quite helpful with suggesting things to do in the area. The room was comfortable, clean and the bathroom had excellent hot water. Nice comfortable chair in the room to sit and read or whatever. Location wise there is a restaurant in the hotel but several others within walking distance. Share taxis go past all the time, 20 rupee ride to Elephant Falls. We walked back. The East Khasi Hills are magnificent.

The house had three comfortable and well-maintained rooms, along with a fully functional kitchen that made it easy to feel right at home. The environment was exactly what we were hoping for—peaceful and just as described. The host was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. My dad felt incredibly comfortable and relaxed, which meant a lot to us. This trip created beautiful memories for our family. I would definitely recommend this property to others, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

First we enquired our stay in Shillong which we can avoid traffic jam and not far from City and centre to many places to visit . Yeah! We choose it right THE TRAVELLER'S guest house, Happy we avoided wasting our time in traffic jams in which our schedules were tight perhaps still got a chance to visit Elephant's falls as it is close-by and one step away. This place located on the highway between roads which leads to Sohra (Cherrapunjee), Dawki, Mawlynong and Mawphlang Sacred groove, Mawsynram. Separate room provided for driver and it was free. Parking space available. Washroom with Western toilet was cleaned and tidy. The room was cozy, convenient and spotless. Free Wifi provided. We really enjoyed our stay. The owner and all her staff were warm and helpful. They made us feel very comfortable. We got freshly cooked, hot food every day for breakfast and dinner which was delicious and homely! We got to try some local dishes and they were fantastic. Everyday when we returned to the homestay after visiting some of the nearby attractions, they would serve garam-garam chai with biscuits and rusk. The room and attached bathroom were simple but neat and clean. The nights were freezing so they provided thick blankets and a heater that kept us very comfortable. We appreciated the fact the owner of the place was very much involved in the day-to-day running of the place.
