Rooms in Teshikaga

MORITA. We have encountered some difficulties with our car, and Morita was SO helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure we have a pleasant stay. She made sure we are making the most out of the area, that everything is easy and nice, and thought of things we didn't even had in mind. She is a blessing.

We loved staying here! Perfect for our family with two kids who adore loft beds. The location was superb for a beautiful summer retreat. The owner was a wonderful chef so we advise taking the very affordable and delicious meal options. Would definitely stay again!

The property is a perfect location to drive to the lakes, Kushiro, and Abashiri. It was quite cozy to chill, enjoy the sounds of nature, and the stars are so clear to see. The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind. The beds were very comfortable. For the price, it is a great deal.

We stayed in one of the chalets. There was a brand new shower and toilet. Towels were in the bathroom for us to use. Making the beds and taking off the sheets was not a big deal. There was plenty of room for our large family.

The onsen was probably the best out of all the ones I've visited. My skin has never been so soft before. And after a bit of soaking you can enjoy a walk through the very quaint town around the hotel and see the rivers that feed the springs.

The food was incredible. The ambiance was on the playful/cutesy side and felt very comfortable and luxurious at the same time. The owners were very friendly and their cats were adorable.

Probably the largest room we had throughout our trip in Japan. This was a traditional Japanese style room with tatami mats, a low table and floor seating as well as western-style table and chair. It also has a fridge and an electric kettle. Free bicycle rental was amazing and we used their bikes to explore the shores of lake Kussharo. Staff are excellent and speak English very well. The hotel also has a public onsen that is open 24 h (you get a yukata, slippers, and towels in your room), a small souvenir shop, some games etc. Overall may appear a bit outdated, but the level of comfort is high. You can also order breakfast. Walking distance to the JR Mashu Station (about 1 km) with connections to Kushiro. Public transportation here is somewhat limited, but we managed: bus/train to Kawayu Onsen to see Mt. Io, bus to Lake Mashu 1st observatory + hike to Mt. Mashu, then return by hitchhiking, Wakoto Peninsula and Kotan Onsen by bike.

Clean. Onsen. Spacious. Quiet.

Conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood in Teshikaga, Mokurie Cabin is truly a hidden gem. We feel so fortunate to have been among their first guests. The cabin is charming, cozy, and incredibly relaxing. It had everything we needed, and everything was pristine and spotless. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!

The location was excellent, making it a great base for exploring the area. The property has a sleek, modern design, and the complimentary drink bar was a nice touch. The room was clean and comfortable.
