Everything!!!! Absolutely wonderful all around experience staying at Bundala Ruhunumaya Green Villa. The tranquil, spacious, clean, and comfortable accommodations surpassed expectations. My friend and I instantly fell in love with the family. They are very knowledgeable about the area and made arrangements for Safaris, drivers, and a temple visit. The authentic Sri Lankan meals were incredibly delicious and stood out as the best food we’ve eaten in Sri Lanka. My friend and I highly recommend staying at this villa. It was an unforgettable wonderful experience. We definitely hope to return here on our next visit to Sri Lanka.

If you like peace and quietness, look no further. There are animals in the wild around the property while you are in the pool and it’s just so nice and relaxing. The staff went above and beyond and Srikanth cooked us some delicious vegan meals! The water of the pool was perfection!

The place was great. The room was comfortable and clean . The location is perfect for visiting Bundala national park. I’ve booked the safari via the hotel and Kamal was my guide, he saw experience we saw a lot of elephants and birds. And the food is really good

Enjoyed everything about the result from the exceptional service, especially by our host tharindi who was very helpful and took care of all of our needs. The resort territory is quite big with two pools and a beautiful beach. The restaurants are all great and there are a lot of activities you can do so you won’t get bored. Trying to give a good bicycle. We tried archery and cycling, which was very fun. We enjoyed so much the we extended it two more days in total staying here for more than 9 days the view from my room was beautiful. The rooms were clean spacious and every day the clean service cleaned everything . they had money exchange service, which was very easy to exchange your dollars into local currency. They also arranged to take us to local market and arranged an amazing private safari

The second room we received was very nice, near the quite area of the hotel. More to the adult pool area. The room service and cleaning staff were very friendly and professional. The bar and breakfast restaurant staff were also very friendly and made you feel welcome. The staff at the Pro Shop was also very friendly and helpful. The breakfast team and breakfast restaurant manager was OUTSTANDING! Breakfast and dinner itself was very nice as we had the halfboard option.

We went for the day to get off cruise ship from 1130 to 6 pm. Lunch was great. Ate Sri Lanka food. Manager sat with us and answered questions about culture. Got to see local momma dog at pool. Large towels. Good A/C in room. Pool has shade trees and pads for wooden lounge chairs. Pool toilet was clean. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable and balcony looked out over salt pools. Grounds and pool were clean and water was warm in pool.

A nice room with an absolutely beautiful view from the balcony. It’s lovely to sit there and watch the wildlife. We had a trip, from the house, around Bundala National Park with its amazing bird life. The guide was brilliant. Thank you. Not to forget the delicious fresh fish we had for our evening meal!

The pool was well kept and front desk staff were very friendly. Restaurant staff also pleasant. Requested my room to be cleaned every day due to issues listed below and there was no question as far as I could tell. Seems.like.staff are doing their best with what they are working with.

Very beautiful rooms, and a very nice adults only pool! The food at the buffet is also very decent. Compared to all other hotels we stayed throughout Sri Lanka, this was the closest to what is considered 5 stars in Europe.

Regular room with Aircon. Great location if you want to visit Bundala Park , wonderful for birds' watching. Big tea cups at a good price. Terrace in front of the room to use. Also big terrace at the ground level. Tower for birds' watching available on more less 2nd floor level

-people who work in Shangrila are extremely helpfull (especially Tharindi, she goes extra mile and was helping us with our room), they were smilling at us, greeting us. -We booked breakfast and dinner and the food was top. Especially dessert section. But overall food was excellent. - - - there are 3 pools. 1 is adult only and we were hanging there all the time. It is clean, luxurios and you have a lot of privacy.

Among the best guest houses I've been. Very friendly and helpful owner, excellent food and tea, central and quiet location with sea view, 100m from beach and 500m from main bus station. Room had private bathroom, fan, good ventilation and daylight, is mosquito-proof when doors closed, and had a balcony with sea view. Free wifi is available. Very good value for money. It's very pleasant to sit on the balcony or in the shaded garden in the breeze, hear the sound of the waves and enjoy the view.

Great location, nice view from a balcony. It would be a nice place to stay if ONLY it was CLEAN. The owner is a nice guy, makes good breakfast. But he needs to understand that Europeans don’t like staying in a dirty places.
