This was the best place we stayed in a five week trip to Sri Lanka. Shan and his wife were the most friendly, generous and kind people. The accommodation was superb so comfortable, clean and stylish. The food was amazing… you need a big appetite! The location was superb , we enjoy walking and the property was in a prime position. The views over the tea plantation and done the valley were idyllic . This was such an amazing place to finish our trip. We will be back!

A truly magical place, we had the most amazing stay. A unique small boutique hotel up in the mountains with stunning views, wonderful staff and delicious food. The manager, Eranda is so sincere and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. He took us on a walk to the waterfall in the grounds and we had a very informative talk about nature. Such a lovely man. I can't recommend Capoe House enough, it's the nicest place we have ever stayed.

This is our second time in Haputale. This time we chose a wonderful modern hotel, not far from the Adisham monastery. For my wife and me, this place is one of the best in Sri Lanka. Beautiful nature around, where you can climb the mountains and walk among the tea plantations. No crowds of tourists like in Ella, you can only see tea pickers and local women with bundles of firewood on their heads. We had a very nice room with a large balcony, huge floor-to-ceiling windows and a fantastic view of the mountains and lakes. The visibility from the window is more than 50 km. There is a table in the room to work on the computer. The hotel offers excellent breakfasts and dinners. The choice of dishes is simply huge, you don’t often see this in most hotels in Sri Lanka. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks to Hashan that everything is perfectly organized and working, for his willingness to help in any situation. The hotel left the best impressions, we will definitely come back again

The view was amazing, the house was great, spacious and had the same amazing clear view. The food was excellent and served beautifully. The staff was helpful and organized for us little trip to the 2nd highest waterfall which we can strongly recommend.

We highly recommend Nilowin Glenanore Guesthouse!!! We had such a lovely stay there! It was recommended from a friend and it surely didn’t disappoint! The family that runs it are super nice and helpful. Breakfast was amazing - the yummiest egg hopers we’ve had in Srilanka. The room was lovely with a great view. And what we enjoyed most - was their cooking class!! They’ve created a lovely, homely kitchen where the cooking class happens. Very informative and fun cooking class. We truly enjoyed it. Our three daughters got involved in everything we were preparing and everything was delicious!!! Thank you so much! Id be happy to come back tomorrow :)

Very nice place to stay in Haputale. The view from the balcony in our room was astonishing and the owners were super friendly and helpful. It is roughly a 10-15 minutes walk to the very centre of Haputale, but we preferred this slightly less busy place higher up the road. The price was also very good, so definitely recommended (we stayed for 3 nights).

The view from the balcony would be enough to bring me back to this hotel, but add in the spacious bedroom and bathroom and you have an idyllic mix. Great that they offered a large menu for evening meal, which was delicious and both Sri Lanka and English breakfast. Bonus was was seeing fireflies

Beautiful views from room balcony, restaurant terrace, very airy and tastefully decorated hotel. Staff very friendly and smiling. Promptly arranged a tuk tuk at Lipton Seat, a charming place not far from here. I would stay here again next time!

My favorite hotel in Sri Lanka! Our room was spacious and clean. All rooms, including the dining room, have this extraordinary view. Breakfast was nice (fresh fruits, different sweets and Sri Lankan dishes served). Diner was delicious! It was a variety of curries, vegetables and rice. The Hotel is in walking distance to town and train station (about 20min). A perfect base for every kind of hiking trip in that beautiful area!

Wow, the view from the hotel was amazing! We had a perfect stay, I loved the atmosphere in the hotel, we had a delicious breakfast and dinner there. The rooms were very spacious with a big balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful! They help with organizing the tuk-tuk. The hotel is located very close to the train station so it was easy to get there.

The property is located in a wonderful place, can feel the fresh air from the balcony of the room. And 10 out of 10 for the cleanliness. And the host sir amarasinghe is a humble and kind person. And this is the best room for this price anywhere.

Nice, spacious and clean rooms with a very nice view and great balcony (we spent so much time there). Hot water was a plus too. The owners were really helpful, they gave us some advice and helped us with whatever we needed. We recommend the laundry service as well. Location is quite good, 15 min walk from the Haputale however there is not much to do in the city, and there is a good restaurant nearby. Good location to visit Lipton’s Seat, Horton’s Plains and Diyaluma Waterfall:)

The room was really bright with huge windows, spotlessly clean and very spacious. It had a really nice balcony. The whole place has a really quirky and interesting feel, carved out of the hillside and on different levels. Nalif and his family were fantastic hosts, helping us to arrange transport and giving us great local information. ...and the food is fabulous! we had daily, different Sri Lankan breakfasts which were enormous and delicious! we also ate there 2 evenings, and all the food was great. We would highly recommend Il Vilino!

The view from both the room and the bar is amazing! Having your own private balcony with comfy chairs alone is worth the price :) The staff was friendly, even if not super responsive before arrival they did everything to make our stay comfortable. The room was very spacious and the bathroom modern, with great pressure in the shower and hot water. WiFi was working perfectly!

This was my second stay at Thotalagala, and it was just as perfect as the first time! The bungalow is beautiful and the service beyond compare. Small and intimate, with beautiful rooms for relaxation and a fireplace room perfect for socialising with other guests. Coming into our room at night was a pleasure, with tea and hot water bottles waiting. The staff were so attentive, giving us a slightly better room and packing us a lunch when we left. We are definetly coming back!

This place is exceptional, the views over the tea fields and surrounding mountains and valleys are wonderful. Rooms are spacious and clean, shower is steaming hot. Balcony nice to sit out on and breathe the fresh mountain air. Beds are comfortable with sufficient blankets for the cold weather. The owner is super friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the upstairs restaurant it was delicious and filling, as was breakfast in the morning. We would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers passing through the beautiful haputale.

The whole building is well designed with an industrial styled brick wall, and the room was quite spacious. It had a wide terrace with a roof and in the morning an amazing view. The bathroom was clean and there was hot water. The staff was kind and helpful, you could choose between western and sri lankan style breakfast. We chose the sri lankan and it was delicious, the portion was big.
