We chose the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Washington primarily for its location and this worked very well. The Metro is less than ten minutes away and we could walk to the White House and Capitol. Our room was spacious and well kept and the bed was marvellous. There is an excellent selection of well-priced restaurants within a 20 minute walking distance of the hotel. Two complimentary bottles of water were replaced every day.

We were greeted at the reception desk by 2 friendly ladies who checked us in. They also provided us with a city map. Our room was very spacious with a large double bed. The bathroom amenities were clean and functioned well. A coffee machine was a welcome feature, as was a little fridge. The room was a cool refuge from the outside heat! The hotel had a bar and restaurant and we dined there on a couple of nights. The food was well prepared and tasty.

We received an upgraded room compared to our initial booking. Rooms are spacious with all the required accessories available. Bed was extremely comfortable, hotel is based in a quite neighborhood where restaurants can be found in a walking distance. Also the hotel restaurant worth the try.

This place exceeded our expectations, especially in terms of value for money. The rooms are comfy, nicely decorated and spacious. Bathroom was spotless. Reception staff was always helpful and attentive. We even got a free room upgrade upon our arrival, which was a special treat! Overall, we had a lovely stay and would be coming back!
