The staff were very kind and helpful. They allowed us to keep our car in the lot after check out so we could explore the city more. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The free coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies in the lobby was a pleasant touch. The location was perfect -three to ten minutes walking to all the major sightseeing spots.

This seems like an old traditional shop house that was converted into a hotel. The architecture and materials are wonderful, almost like time traveling back to fedual Japan. We had 2 rooms; 1 was on top of the resaurant facing the road and the other was in the back. The front facing room had a kotatsu, which we loved, but was a bit noisy due to the main road in front. The other room was a converted store house and was blissfully quiet, but had no windows. The materials (lots of wood) and decor were just what we were looking for. Because of our stay here we plan to visit their other Nipponia locations across Japan. They also have on-site parking if you are driving.
