Really out of our expectations. Starting from the services and greetings from staffs, to the entire activities offered. The most expectional was the food, it was buffet, but really michelin style buffet. Before our stay, we hesitated in adding dinner and breakfast to our package, but now we are grateful we did. The food isn’t just premade and placed on the counter for you to take, there was about 4-6 chefs up there and cook fresh plate to your orders. Each chef has a signature dish, so there was a great variety. Not to mention about, the interior and the book selection. Both me and my boyfriend were art major students, the selection of books really required great taste and an amount of knowledge in art. Especially there was a corner for all photographies done over the world in the same latitude as Shiretoko. Would book again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Both dinner and breakfast buffet were superb. The onsen was great, and the view from the room was beautiful.

Beautifully designed with local style, comfortable western bed option but with a ryokan feel. My room with the private onsen was the best. Half board of breakfast and dinner included, with surprise meals beginning on the 3rd night of stay. I stayed for a week.

2 miles from Tokyo University of Agriculture in Abashiri, Hotel Abashirikoso features accommodations with access to a public bath and open-air bath.

Absolutely stunning hotel in every sense of the word. Described as a Showa-Era hotel and it really felt like being taken back in time with such a beautiful hotel. The staff is accommodating above and beyond and I found myself delighted with every new thing I discovered while walking around. They offered me a private bath since I had tattoos and it was well worth every penny and really warmed up my weary bones after a long day of traveling and sight-seeing. And the concert in the lobby afterwards was such a treat! This hotel is an absolute jewel!

It was not our 1st stay and we gladly returned back. Location very good, parking is free and huge plus, staff is very friendly, food extremely delicious- we had half board included, room very good size clean and functional; view from room amazing. Onsen and sauna very pleasant and clean. Would stay again and highly recommend.
