Sandrita's hostal is far beyond any hostal or B&B experience. I loved this cute house, Sandrita's and her partner hospitality and care for each and single guest's wellbeing, from hearthy breakfasts adjusted to any dietary restriction to customized travel tips. I met very nice group of people at this hostal and our shared evenings in the warm and cozy kitchen full of eucalyptus scents were like spending time with you friends and family, and will deeply stay in memory. Cute cabin with a wood stove for heating. The wood stove worked very well and wood was restocked in the cabin each day. Beds are super cozy with lots of blankets to keep you warm. Great views of the bay. Enjoyed viewing the birds and the bay upon waking each morning. Great hot water shower without waiting for water to heat up. Need a car to get to this location but it is only a short drive to Castro. Nice and quiet area. Would have stayed here longer had my itinerary allowed.

Palafito Verde offers small apartments that combine all the necessary facilities to have a great stay in Castro, a city that can be used as a hub to explore the island. The location was very convenient to leave the town without too much trafic. The apartments offer a balcony that hangs on the coast and fills like living on the water. Kitchen and bathroom are very clean and well equipped. Our bedroom was very dark, but we used it only to seep so it was not a real problem.
