Self-Catering Accommodations in Schönau am Königssee

The location was excellent. The apartment was nice and big. The guest was very nice.

Locations was perfect. The view from the windows was awesome. The full apartment was very comfortable for a family. Could easily stay here for a few months. Found parking 4 minutes away for $8 a day.

We liked that we had a lot of space. Big kitchen. Not many other guests so we enjoyed a quiet environment. The walk to Koenigsee is really cool and a nice way to walk off the food consumed at the Echostueberl. It's a nice apartment, very cleaned and well loved.

Such a beautiful place! The room was perfect, we had everything we needed from cozy beds to a functional kitchen. I especially enjoyed watching the horses and chickens in the mornings. We couldn’t have asked for a better place our first time in Germany.

The apartment was spotlessly clean and nicely furnished. Everything was very new, modern and comfortable. The location and view were great. Unlike earlier reviews, I found the kitchen very thoughtfully equipped (even baking paper was provided), as was the rest of the apartment. The host was nice and responsive and the key handover went smoothly.

We stayed in the studio apartment. It was impeccably clean and the beds were very comfortable. We hadn't ordered breakfast in advance but the host was able to accommodate us on the spot. Speaking of which, the breakfast is spectacular: eggs with bacon made to order, exquisite rolls, plentiful coffee and a wide selection of juices. If we were so inclined, there was even cold prosecco. Our studio had a private outdoor sitting area overlooking a meadow. Brilliant!

Staying at Haus Lukaswinkl was genuinely one of the highlights of my entire trip, and I mean that wholeheartedly. The location is absolutely perfect. I walked everywhere, the Königssee boat dock, the trails, restaurants, all on foot, no transportation needed whatsoever. Waking up every morning with the Alps right outside the window is something I will not forget. The balcony view alone is worth the stay. The surrounding area is breathtaking, peaceful, and incredibly well connected to everything Schönau am Königssee has to offer. The apartment itself is spotless, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and exactly as described. Everything you need is there. But what truly elevated this stay above anything I could have expected was Willy. His hospitality is unlike anything I have ever experienced as a traveler. He made me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for, not like a guest checking into a room, but like a friend visiting a home. Every interaction was warm, generous, and completely sincere. It is rare to find a host who puts so much heart into what they do. Willy takes pride not just in his property, but in the experience of every single person who walks through his door. That kind of hospitality cannot be manufactured, it is simply who he is. I will be recommending Haus Lukaswinkl to everyone I know visiting Berchtesgaden. I sincerely hope to come back one day. Thank you for everything Willy, you made my stay truly unforgettable.

Excellent vacation apartment! Everything was perfect, very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Warm wooden interior. There were lots of little thoughtful touches that made it feel really cosy. Wonderful area, nice host.

Wonderful stay. Host was amazing. Place was equipped with 2 large Tv's, beautiful furniture and great kitchen . Close to bus stop ,grocery store, Butcher shop and bakeries. There is a balcony from the bedroom and a beautiful garden.
