Self-Catering Accommodations in Gili Islands

The villa was super clean and beautifully decorated. The staff are very attentive and made our stay special. Breakfast was good and they serve amazing quality coffee. Hadi the manager there was so helpful and went out of his way to make our stay more enjoyable and special.

I know Gili Air is already beautiful on its own, right? I’ve been to the island quite a few times, but this time I came across a new place and had to check it out straight away and honestly, it gives you even more reasons to visit. It’s brand new, in a really convenient location, and the sea view from the balcony… you just have to see it for yourself. What made it even better was the service! Super attentive and thoughtful, which really completes that luxury stay feeling. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

The cozy bungalow and the beautiful pool were amazing for our holiday, it’s a quiet island which was perfect to chill on, the staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a wonderful time there and definitely come back

Had a great stay at Akasia Suites with my family. The suite was clean and well appointed. My wife & I rented bikes, which made it very easy to get around the island. Staff were attentive and friendly- highly recommend.

I really like my stay here, a little mini jungle paradise with three bungalows. My bungalow was large and had a nice front porch. Inside decor was really nice, cool vibes including the bathroom. Mosquito net for bed was nice though there surprisingly weren’t too many mosquitoes anyway. Very friendly couple manages the place, quite kind and informative.

What a hidden oasis within Gili Air! Never ran into other guests and it really felt like a private hotel on such a beautiful island. To top it off, our receptionist Dahlia went above and beyond to book massages in our villa and also anything else we needed. Will definitely be back!

Aji was an amazing host, extremely helpful and always had a smile on his face. The property is beautiful - in the middle of the island which is busy but feels so private in the accommodation.

We stayed 3 weeks. The staff were incredible, helpful and nice. Anything you needed they helped. The villa unit was large with a big comfy bed and good AC. There was a well stocked kitchen we used daily.The plunge pull was fantastic, we got in each morning and night. Peaceful and quiet. 300 meters to sunrise beach and restaurants. Best swimming beach. About 20 minutes walk to sunset beach and many restaurants and bars. Also only 10 minutes to main street from pier and many more restaurants. Villa exceeded our expectations would highly recommend staying here.

A Truly Memorable Stay at Villa Kayu – Gili Air June 2025 What an incredible experience! We stayed at Villa Kayu on Gili Air for my wife’s 50th birthday celebrations, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness by Gary, the owner, and Dian, the general manager. Their hospitality set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The villa itself is beautifully maintained—spotlessly clean, well-appointed, and offering everything we could possibly need for a comfortable retreat. Dian went above and beyond to arrange a fantastic boat trip for my wife's birthday, allowing us to snorkel at several stunning spots where we encountered vibrant marine life, including plenty of fish and turtles. Upon returning to the villa, we were touched by the thoughtful gesture from the staff—a lovely handwritten note, delicious cookies, and a stunning birthday cake made entirely out of fresh fruit. It was the perfect way to end the day! While the villa is not beachfront, it remains an excellent value for money given its quality and the exceptional service provided. We would rate the villa a solid 9, with the staff deserving an unwavering 10 for their warmth, attentiveness, and generosity. The hospitality of the Indonesian people has truly left us in awe, making this trip an experience we will cherish forever. If you're looking for a stay in Gili Air that combines comfort, thoughtfulness, and wonderful service, Villa Kayu is the place to stay. Highly recommended. John & Traci

The location is Perfect, AC works great, bed comfortable and the free bike and breakfast was a big plus. When I come back to Indonesia, I will define stay there again. Lina was super lovely.

Slow Villas is absolutely incredible! I had such a wonderful stay here. The villa was beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what I needed for a relaxing few days in Gili Air. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the staff were so kind and welcoming throughout my stay. A special thank you to Iwan for truly going above and beyond to make my stay and my birthday so memorable. The surprise they arranged for me was incredibly thoughtful and honestly one of the sweetest moments of my trip. It made me feel so welcomed and cared for, and I’ll always remember it. He also arranged everything I needed to enjoy my time on the island and was so welcoming and kind every time I saw him. I will miss you Iwan!! Thank you again to the whole villa staff for such a special experience I would absolutely stay here again!

This has been our favorite accommodation throughout our stay in Asia… the private pool, ability to cook in the outdoor kitchen, the patio table that was loaded with card games down to the small details: usb plugs next to the bed, the Kleenex in the bathroom, the amazing working a/c unit, milk in the fridge for your morning coffee, the laundry soap in the bathroom to do a sink wash if needed… the fluffy and but beach towels, the shampoo and conditioner were actually decent compared to other hotel provided soaps… Elise has thought of every detail and the care she puts in really shows!

Lovely stay with my family, kids had so much fun in the pool. The villa itself is so clean and looks better than the pictures. Would definitely come back. I miss Gili Air already.
