Self-Catering Accommodations in Trou d'Eau Douce

Friendly attentive hosts. We had an enormous apartment on the top floor with kitchen, large bedroom and even larger bathroom. Amazing value with breakfast included; big basket of bread, omelette, large platter of fruit, juice and coffee. We were tired after a long boat trip so decided to eat at the Light Villa one night and, with no prior warning, crispy chicken, chips and salad was provided for us with lots of french bread and butter. All the food was amazing and plentiful. The small swimming pool is mostly shaded and this was a welcome relief from the hot sun. Very secure property with private parking. I asked where I could do some washing and it was all done for us, free of charge!

It is an exquisite destination for a honeymoon. Special thanks to Mr. Arvind, Mr. Kavi, and Mr. Mittesh for orchestrating a stunning beachfront dinner, and to the entire team for their outstanding hospitality.

What an awesome place spent the night here with my partner and I must say just wow of a place. The ability to access a private island is insane and the swimming pool and rooms are just amazing.

Properly organized, excellent owners

Everything was amazing from the moment we arrived, including the location, accommodations, and services, that went above and beyond, over and over again — thanks to the manager Kunal Ghurbhurrun and his entire team. Kunal helped with all our Mauritius plans from booking cabs and dinner reservations, to helping me pull off a surprise 25th anniversary renewal of vows ceremony. It included gorgeous flowers, super fun 3-member band, photographer, and an amazing dinner on the beach — all on a super affordable budget! They even pulled off suddenly moving it one day due to weather, and the housekeeping team surprised us with a gorgeous floral heart on our “Honeymoon bed“. They created the best lifetime memories and were so gracious along the way. We would have just been happy with the perfect air conditioned villa, stocked with filtered water, coffee and even some local infused rums — with breakfast delivered to our dining room each morning, and gated parking for our rental car. But it was so much more. We are so happy we chose the private Villas instead of the usual resorts, and it was more affordable and personalized thanks to Kunal!

The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood... Even street dogs were quiet 🤫 Everything went well in our stay. The host is a very kind person. It was very easy to communicate with him. He gave us many great tips for "what to do?", "where to eat" etc. Breakfast was very nice. The room was spacious and the bed was big and very comfortable.

Beautiful beach house, just few steps to one of the nicest beaches in Mauritius. Peaceful but close to restaurants and a little supermarket. Listening the birds having my coffee was a gift 🩵🩵 completely in love with Artist House, hopefully we can come back for longer. The place was clean, the people were very hospitable and had so many extra amenities, like a big water bottle and banana included to make sure that I would enjoy the stay and feel very welcomed. The host was nice enough to even recommend me many restaurants after finding out it was my first time traveling to Mauritius!

Housekeeping of the property made the stay memorable and comfortable. Mrs. Mezita, the house keeper made the difference. The location of the property is great. The beach is hardly a few steps away from the property.

We had the studio upstairs. The apartment had everything you could need. Kerstan the host was excellent and could not have been more helpful. She is ver approachable and gave us great tips about places to go and where to eat. She even booked us a table ahead of time as we were arriving over Christmas. Kerstan suggested excursions and even dropped us to the boat. We would definitely recommend Casa Frangipani to anyone coming to Mauritius

The owners of the property were lovely and very helpful with all the information and the questions asked. They brought us amazing breakfast even if it was not included and pay as much attention as needed. The apartment was perfect and very clean. They made our stay perfect. For sure is a place that I would recommend to my friend and family.
