Loved the size of the property for my 4 adult size kids and myself and my husband. I loved the location over the snack bar - coffee was excellent and very reasonable prices . Loved the location close enough to walk to Santa Cruz and a slightly longer walk to Machico. Host was very friendly and helpful

Thank you very much for hosting us at your property. It´s located around 15 minutes from Funchal airport and you are even able to see planes from property. House has everything as is described at article. We were using all 3 bedrooms including kitchen which is fully equipped. Communication with owner was done in really professional way. Even we needed some advice, we asked and response was within couple of minutes. For us it was really good experience and we enjoyed this stay fully.

A delightful comfortable apartment with everything we needed to make our stay just about perfect. Our host has stocked the kitchen with equipment. Every room was clean and easy to use. The parking space is even marked. The location was excellent and surprisingly quiet. You can't do much better for a great holiday.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Half Gate Villa in Gaula, Madeira, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. With three luxurious bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, elegant living spaces, and a superb outdoor area including a heated swimming pool and BBQ, the property is perfectly suited for both relaxation and entertaining. For anyone looking for a high-end stay in Madeira, I can wholeheartedly recommend Half Gate Villa. A truly excellent host and an exceptional property.

Identical to what you get in pictures, very kind hosts. Helped us a lot with our check in and check out, only downfall is that it’s a little isolated. If you have a car rented or wouldn’t mind paying for an uber/bolt to go back and forth then it’s PERFECT.
