Canto do Ile was the highlight of our trip to Brasil. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the way it's set up brings everyone together in the dining room to make it feel like a home. Everyone who worked there treated us like friends that they have known forever -- Lisa, Sergio, Fabiano, Emilia, Daniel, Leonardo, Maruscka and Rafael were so warm and had such excellent recommendations for us. We loved our diving experience with Sergio and Emilia's cakes and cookies were incredible. The historic center is a must-see town with amazing food and views, and the short bike ride into town was a great way to see more of Paraty.

We knew this would be wonderful as we approached, it is set high above the 101, nestled among rainforest. I have never heard so many birds, a special highlight was watching hummingbirds drink water from bromeliads in the trees. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the porch each day, but the surrounding area has many things to enjoy, of course Paraty and the beaches and forest trails. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic, highly recommend the bobo! Staff was friendly and helpful—thanks again for the grilled cheese! Also accommodated my sensitivity to fragrance in cleaning products very easily.
