Nothing like Hotel Matlai! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. We were treated with the most outstanding service by the entire team, truly nothing compares. Top, top, top! Zober, our butler, made our stay unforgettable, and we will always remember his exceptional service. This is the best place to rest and unwind after a safari. The location is a hidden gem! hard to beat, with a sandbank right in front of the hotel that’s accessible every day by kayak! And the room… it was the most beautiful I’ve stayed in throughout Zanzibar. I only wish we had stayed longer, but my husband and I will definitely return next year. Without a doubt, this was the best hotel experience and service of our lives. Look no further, this is the place to be. We will be back!

Super clean, royal ambience, you feel like royalty because the staff treats you like one. The food was delicious and to die for! Chef Suneel came out to greet at every meal and took our requests personally. Lillian ensured our stay was well cared for, anything we needed she was more than happy to help. The breakfasts were amazing, new theme each day and they went above and beyond for everything. I felt like I was in paradise! I would not stay anywhere else but here.

The staff were extremely friendly. The all-inclusive rate proved excellent value for money with food and drinks of good quality. The facilities included two beaches and a beautiful pool.

Overall, my stay in Antonio Beach was very great and comfortable.. Staff are amazing and very helpful and nice ... beautiful hotel and room views are very nice as pictures and more , Supper clean ..food was great and delicious all time .. restaurant staff are very nice and professional, especially Mr Hitesh . He is making sure all guests are feeling satisfied and comfortable and solve any issue, I want to thank him for everything he has done during our stay ... And I want to say thank you to everyone, especially the professional young waiters, Cha Cha , Issa , and other guys too, and the two girls in the restaurant and all the housekeeping team .. Also the transportation agent for the hotel Ahamed he is very nice arranging our pickup and dropping , he organize also our trip with a good reasonable price ..thank you.. Thank you, everyone 💓

A very beautiful hotel with great potential. Everything feels new: modern furniture, stylish rooms, and well-designed public areas. Overall, the property looks fresh and aesthetically pleasing. However, it was surprising to notice some finishing issues for a brand-new 5-star hotel — small paint imperfections, uneven edges, and areas that look unfinished. In the spa area (hammam), the pool entrances were loose and unstable, which is not only unattractive but also potentially unsafe. This definitely needs attention. The biggest highlight of our stay was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming, and clearly doing their best — and thanks to them, we still had a very positive overall experience. Food quality was very good across the restaurants — everything we tried was tasty. We would only suggest adding more seafood variety, considering the location and access to fresh seafood. The main downside for us was the ocean. During our stay, it was almost impossible to swim because of the large amount of seaweed. We understand it can be seasonal, but at least the beach area could be cleaned more regularly so guests can enjoy a clean walking zone. Overall, we had a good experience thanks to the amazing staff and the hotel’s strong concept. With some improvements in details and service, this place can truly become an excellent 5-star resort.

We loved everything about the property and the staff were exceptional and helpful. We arrived for my Fiancé’s birthday and they accommodated each and every request. hghly recommend this property to any couple searching for a quiet and romantic get away with ultimate silence , beautiful views and pure nature vibes.

A wonderful place for a relaxing holiday and for those who want privacy. The breakfast selection is not very extensive, but you can definitely find everything you need. Dinner time is the most awaited - the food is especially delicious. A wonderful empty beach where you can walk in both directions calmly and safely.

Top marks across the board! Stayed here for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The staff were kind and helpful, and the food was incredible. Seating locations for lunch and dinner are rotated throughout the week so meal service never feels stale. As part of the stay we could rent kayaks and beach bicycles for free from the sister property. The Palms offer reef shoes for free for a low tide reef walk; take advantage and do it. We'll be recommending this property to our friends, and could see ourselves returning for a future stay.
