It is a quite small hotel (1 man staff), buy very nice. The rooms are modern standard in a very old house, which provides a very nice experience. The breakfast room is quite small, but the ambience is nice.

This hotel is built in a late-Gothic style from the year 1507. It is located a 2-minute walk from the heart of Freiberg's historic Old Town district, at the foot of the Nicolai quarter.

The Alstadt is on the edge of the Old Town. I just walked across the street and into the old City center. The area is wonderfully historic. I visited the church where my great great grandmother was baptized in 1841. The staff gave great recommendations for dinners, and breakfast (included) was great. My room was enormous! and so was the bathroom. Perhaps not all of the rooms are this big, but it was wonderful!
