We were only there 1 night, but has dinner and breakfast. Both meals were the best. Our family rank the meals, rooms, restrooms and staff. The meals at the Allanton stayed at the top of our list the whole trip. If you are looking to get away in a nice cozy atmosphere with service and food. Allanton is the place for you.

The staff was SUPER friendly and helpful. The food was FABULOUS - all parts of the excellent breakfast and the dinner that we enjoyed on one night, including both basics (burger and chips) and fun sides (e.g., the red pepper hummus-like dish). The room was very clean and much cleaner-feeling than many pet-friendly rooms, having our own door (motel-style) was exciting, and the property was clean and quiet.

Spring Cottage is located in Duns, just 28 miles from Bamburgh Castle and 11 miles from Etal Castle. The 3-star vacation home is 23 miles from Lindisfarne Castle.

Rock Cottage offers accommodations in Saint Abbs, a 9-minute walk from Coldingham Bay Beach and 13 miles from The Maltings Theatre & Cinema.

everything! Margaret is an awesome host, very nice and helpful; the house is lovely and perfectly located by the river and only a few steps away from the station. Room was cosy, the duvet was like wrapping a cloud around my body. Breakfast cooked to perfection. I should have booked a longer stay.
