Villas in Plaka

We had no catering reservation. Convenient supermarket is just about 150m up the hill so no problem to shop when needed. There are also very good restaurants close to the supermarket. Plaka is small community and quiet most of the time. There are nice sea and mountain views from Leste Homes. We have flown to Heraklion rented the car and drove to Plaka 124km. It would be more convenient to fly to Chania CHQ airport instead just about 30km from Leste Homes. I would recommend to hire car because it is easier to drop down to Almyrida beach. Hosts have been absolutely fantastic, hospitality above expectation, cleaning better than 5* hotel and host also shared with us traditional Greek dishes and wine, outstanding.

From the moment we booked this beautiful villa until the very end of our two-week stay, communication with Apokornas Villas and our host, Michalis, was exceptional. Airport transfers were arranged seamlessly, which made our arrival and departure stress-free. Michalis personally welcomed us at the villa when we arrived and kindly came to say goodbye when it was time to leave—a lovely touch that made us feel truly cared for. We were greeted with a generous basket of fresh fruit, a bottle of wine, and a selection of water, coffee, and teas. The villa itself exceeded all expectations: two spacious apartments, three bathrooms/showers, and the convenience of a washing machine in each. Everything we needed—towels, essentials, and thoughtful details—was provided, making this one of the most enjoyable holidays we have ever had. The views from every balcony are simply breathtaking, and the peaceful village of Plaka, with its charming restaurants and mini-markets, is only a short walk away. It truly felt like “a piece of heaven on earth.” Our family of four adults had a wonderful time here and we very much hope to return. It was absolutely beautiful with beautiful views in a great area!

Minos Villas are actually a single property, A very nicely renovated traditional Cretan village house at the top of the hill in the village of Armenoi. The single house is devided into two units: a 2 BR / 2 Bath room + Kitchen unit, and a second smaller 1BR/ 1 Bath room + Lounge. The house is situated on a private plot with a gated parking bay, and provides near perfect privacy. We were there during some very hot days, and spent most time in or by the pool, eating, sleeping, pool, rest, pool, BBQ, repeat. It provided an almost perfect stay, so good that we spent most of our time kicking back at the villa rather than roaming the Island :-) The place is well equipped for a comfortable stay, and the owner even went to the length of bringing in a Smoothie machine, once he learned that my wife is a healthfood nut. All BR's have AC, and the beds have all been recently upgraded. Very Nice, Great Stay, we will defently return and Highly Recomended!

We absolutely loved our stay at this villa in Crete. It has two separate apartments, fully equipped with everything we needed. The private pool was spotless (cleaned during our stay) and offered breathtaking views. It was the best accommodation we had in Greece – peaceful, comfortable, and perfectly located. Don’t miss the nearby taverna Elpis – amazing local food! Highly recommended.

What a beautiful view of the water, village and the mountains (which were snow covered in March)! Facilities were comfortable. Especially enjoyed the outdoor bed and the balcony

The layout was very useful. The back deck was exceptional.
