Home from home! Ruwan and his family couldn’t have made us feel more welcome to their lovely Homestay. Nothing was too much trouble. The room had a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The shower was powerful and in the heat a welcome relief. Our room was on the small side but this wasn’t a problem as the outside space had a hammock, table and chairs. Breakfast was served daily by Ruwan and his lovely daughter. It was fresh and plentiful and always delivered with a big smile. The air conditioning in the room wasn’t great and took some getting used to. Ruwan did kindly offer to change our room but we declined as we didn’t want to inconvenience him with another room to clean. However it is only fair to share this information. We stayed 4 Nights with Ruwan and his family and everyday he checked on our welfare, if we needed anything or a ride anywhere. He organised a wonderful Whale watching trip for us, one we would recommend, as a must when in this area. Ruwan kindly cooked us a delicious Sri Lanka. Fish supper despite his wife only day’s earlier giving birth to their son. On New Years Day the family invited us for breakfast in their home. The food was plentiful, delicious and a reflection of this family’s kindness and willingness to share their hospitality with us. I urge Anyone in this area to visit Ruwan and his family if wanting an authentic experience. Ruwan, thank you , we will be back. You are in our hearts forever. Xox

Suresh and his team were incredible from start to finish. They made our stay truly special, with nothing ever being too much trouble. From running a petal-filled bath and thoughtful turndown touches, to preparing an authentic Sri Lankan meal on the beach using fire burners, every detail was exceptional. Tea appeared at the drop of a hat, always delivered with warmth and genuine care. We passed many resorts in the area, and this was by far the most luxurious and exclusive—by miles. The property is exquisitely designed, and privacy is never an issue, with each of the four guest rooms having its own separate entrance. The views and layout are outstanding. A leisurely five-course breakfast set up on the beach each morning was a daily highlight.

The design of the place is great - minimal and relaxing. You can tell that they do a lot of work for maintenance - we saw someone painting over spots with white paint, and every day noticed someone cleaning the property and pool. Maleesha (the butler) was extremely attentive and kuddos to him since he was often managing the entire hotel service on his own (during lunch hours for instance). The rooms and hotel were very clean.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful two-bedroom rooftop villa in Mirissa. The villa was very clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Both bedrooms had air conditioning and attached bathrooms with hot water, which made our stay very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. One of the highlights of the villa was the rooftop pool and the stunning viewpoint at the top, where we could enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. We had smoothie bowls and toast with mushrooms and avocado. It was the first time I had such an amazing smoothie bowl. The owner is very skilled at making them – one bowl was made with peanut butter and another with chocolate, and both were excellent. The location is perfect, and the owner was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, this villa offers excellent value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mirissa and would definitely stay here again.

Laki was the best besttttt host we could ever ask for. We had a friend’s bridal shower at her place and she went above and beyond to help us with all the vendors and the party. The villa is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of the jungle. Totally worth the distance from the city; it’s the ideal place to rest your head in a little piece of paradise. Mando, our host, made sure we had everything we needed and arranged a tuk-tuk service for us at a great price, available throughout our entire stay. We truly enjoyed a perfect experience. A Charming Colonial Stay with Modern Comforts This restored colonial property offers an authentic and charming atmosphere with a perfect blend of history and modern comforts such as multi-plug adapters, both bed and overhead lighting and mosquito nets. The rooms are quiet and feature comfortable beds and newly renovated bathrooms—even better than what’s shown in the current photos on Booking. The WiFi was reliable in my room, allowing me to work and stream video without any issues. The outdoor seating areas are lovely, providing a peaceful space to relax. A highlight of my stay was the incredible Sri Lankan-style omelette—the best I’ve had in over two weeks of traveling here! Beyond the setting, the staff were exceptionally warm, kind, and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I was genuinely sad to leave and would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended!
