Villas in Rabo de Peixe

After looking at what seemed like a zillion homes on the island and cross referencing them with recent reviews, we chose this spot. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The pictures posted on the listing are accurate and arguably don’t do the home justice. The host has literally thought of anything and everything one might need and it’s provided (albeit not necessarily mentioned/listed). We requested a crib for baby and they had it set up and ready to go. IF you’re traveling with a baby who likes a dark room, I recc getting some travel blackout curtains from Amazon beforehand. Between that and the new travel Hatch, baby slept like a dream. I ended up buying a whole bunch of unnecessary things, as I’m used to domestic rentals that provide nothing and have pages of rules. Once I did some exploring, I found all the items I bought, already stocked in cabinets/drawers etc. The host was beyond accommodating and was very understanding when baby broke something she got her hands on. Hubby ended up cutting himself pretty bad, and the house had a stocked first aid kit that was a lifesaver late at night when a pharmacy wasn’t open. The location was perfectly central for exploring the island (we rented a car on our own, but the host does have reccs for rentals if needed). There’s a charcoal grill on ground level and a wood grill upstairs, with plenty of wood provided. It was too cold to enjoy the pool but the hot tub was delightful. The host was also readily available via either the booking.com app or WhatsApp. 500/10 I would rent this home again.

Great, convenient, and quiet location with a view, close to the airport, 3minutes driving distance to a large supermarket. Full privacy and really wonderful hosts, they personally met us on arrival, explained and showed us everything in the house and also bought a welcome meal to the fridge. This was really great as we arrived in the evening and knew nothing about the place. The kitchen and the house is fully equipped with just about anything we needed. We could also pick fresh oranges and bananas in the garden every day, kids loved it. Hosts provided us with a lot of hints what to see, where to go.

We had the pleasure of calling Frenchie's House our home for 2 weeks. The place is newly refurbished, has all the necessary utilities for a family stay. The house is larger than it looks in the photos. Electric gates and parking availabe in the yard was a huge bonus. Would definatelly love to stay here again!

Everything! 3 bedrooms, big living room, backyard with a hot tub...perfect for our for our 5 night stay.

The house looks very new, like it was built just before our arrival. All facilities are in great condition and kitchen has so many of them: dishwasher, microwave, huge fridge with freezer and even blender, toaster and airfryer. There's also washing machine and dryer. Ground floor bathroom was squeaky clean with two taps, huge shower and shower gel + shampoo provided - which is optional for home stay but a nice gesture nonetheless. Outside terrace has a grill spot and a few places to sit. There are 3 sizable bedrooms and sofa in living room is very large. On top of that, hosts were very nice :) Amazing price to quality ratio

Great location from where to explore Sao Miguel. The communal outside area was fantastic, with the highlight of the stay being able to enjoy the sunset from the jacuzzi. The owner Paulo also took his time to get us set up and provided us with great tips and itinerary for different day trips.

Very roomy, clean and well provisioned. Centrally located. Parking easy.
