Accommodations in Altaussee

Staying at this property was like staying at home and with family - with the advantage of a stunning (almost exclusive) lake view, and in an authentic/historic building with roots dating to 1350. To give that family feeling, the staff were exceptionally welcoming including the owner, the reception (especially Beate and Paul), the waiters (especially Claudia). When you feel like a tea or coffee, the machine and tea selection is readily available by the terrace 24/7. When you’re a bit warm (as we stayed during a short heat wave in the summer), the staff bring a fan and have lemon coolers always filled. In between walks around the area, you encounter the friendly staff for a nice chat. As you have breakfast, the waitress remembers your water and coffee preference.

Lots of playgrounds for kids, inside and outside, really make you feel like at home

Great location. Amazing breakfast and food in general. Every single member of the staff delivers perfect service. This is challenging and a great achievement. Respect. The room was nice and most importantly quiet. The view to the Loser is wonderful. I’m not the Spa type so I didn’t use it a lot but it’s nice, it was not overcrowded and the teabar plus nuts and dry fruit is welcomed. I would have appreciated a higher water temperature in the pools but that’s minor. It was warm enough to feel good inside. The golf course is around the corner and next to the hotel. I’m not an expert but the course looked rather mediocre to me and just as much maintained as necessary. But that’s not part of the hotel and not their responsibility. I will definitely come back again.

Location is just 5 minutes' walk from the boat station, the room is spacious and well equipped, the staff is super helpful!

It's a cosy hotel in the middle of mountains with beautiful sights from windows. The personnel are friendly, they can speak English. The hotel has provided us with a big room instead of a booked small one and the room was really big, comfortable and clean. Also we have had a delicious breakfast with a lot of different products. Despite the fact that we have only spent a night in the hotel we really liked being there.

The facilities were as described, the kitchen and the flat fully equipped (there was even a washing machine. The host was very friendly and helpful. I was asked several times, if I needed anything - but I was fully satisfied with my stay. The property and the neighborhood feel safe.

Great location and a very well equipped apartment

Very charming place. Excellent location, very clean place, great communication with owner. Morning coffee on the balcony, facing east is a bonus.
