The place is lovely. It is close enough to the center to enjoy a walk and far enough to have a quiet night. The breakfast is extraordinary and delicious! Kudos also to the staff; everyone was very kind and friendly. It was a great experience!

We had an amazing stay. Our room was brilliant looking over the village green, it was very spacious and has everything we needed. We had an evening meal and breakfast during our stay. Both meals were very well presented and tasted delicious. All of the staff were very attentive and made our stay relaxed and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and will be back for food soon.

The Three Horseshoes is located within 10 minutes’ drive of the beautiful city of Durham. With parts of the building over 300 years old, it still retains some quirky, original features.

Adam the manager was really helpful, friendly, and professional. A great asset to the hotel. The rooms were newly refurbished and the shower could possibly be the best ever. Meals in the restaurant were very generous. Only slight downside is the room is a little noisy from the nearby road, but ear buds are a great thing to travel with.

We stayed for one night as we had a wedding the day after. The property was in a perfect location just 10 mins drive from Whitworth Hall and Deer park where the wedding was. Also only 15 mins casual stroll to The Green Tree pub and restaurant where we had a great meal. Also a great location to nip into Durham as well. Exceptionally clean, warm and comfortable property with everything you need. Also a beautiful garden if you're staying there during the warmer months. Great communication from Steve and Jane throughout. Highly recommend this property.
