Was fabulous! So cozy and nice!

Really clean; beautiful area; close to great walks

Excellent English breakfast. Also had a dinner that was also very good.

Good fire pit and BBQ, plenty of outdoor space. Footpath all the way to Sheepscombe. Great stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Burleigh Court, from the moment of arrival, with a lovely welcome, to the relaxed checkout when we alas had to leave! After arrival, we really enjoyed relaxing in the lovely atmosphere in the lounge, with a wide range of options in the well-stocked bar - including, hurrah!, a selection of Stroud Brewery beers! Then a delicious dinner in the 2-rosette restaurant, which exceeded our expectations - every single element was delicious and generous. With a wonderful wine selection, it felt very special. It is no wonder that the Burleigh Court restaurant has such a fabulous reputation in this part of Gloucestershire. And then a very restful night's sleep in our courtyard room. If it was slightly less damp weather we would have taken advantage of the sauna and plunge pool next to the room. And then up for a wonderful breakfast - beautiful locally-sourced products - fabulous sausage and bacon in particular - and a lovely selection of cereals, yoghurts and fruits - all served in the lovely dining room. And, most of all, the wonderful team. Everyone working at Burleigh Court has a wonderful manner - attentive but not OTT, and all committed to creating a lovely experience. We think that Burleigh Court is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy!

Beautiful property- I loved the sitting in the lounge with the fires going. I had an issue with my cell phone not working and the staff helped me sort out an urgent issue - above and beyond the call of duty!

The staff were brilliant. Welcoming as soon as we walked in. They all had a busy afternoon with lunch, but were still able to make people checking in feel welcomed. Lauren and her team (Imogen, Freddy and Ollie) were very accommodating and would highly recommend going back.

I paid for the continental breakfast and it was really good. The hotel provided big mugs and the coffee was excellent. There was also thick bread for toasting with a good selection of jams. The hotel also provided different cereals, fruit and buns. The location can't be beat, especially if you're arriving by train as it is right next to the train station. The room was spacious and reflected the feel of the town of Stroud. The bathroom was large, with a big bathtub and lots of light. I was able to open the window in my room too, which allowed for lots of fresh air into the room.

We enjoyed everything at the place. The room, the bath, the pub, the free breakfast, the grounds. It was fabulous.

Fantastic vegetarian full English breakfast.Each morning looked forward to it.Staff and owner were amazing in ever way.Location close to everything like the canals , farmers market, visitor center, train station and shopping. Felt like home away from home.

Central Nailsworth - big and comfortable room with great bathroom. Lovely continental breakfast provided in room. Nothing too much trouble.

Kate was a fantastic host. She is warm and friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and does everything to make the stay at Balcarres Guest House welcoming and comfortable. The house is lovely, and the rooms are beautifully decorated and spotless. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious (Kate had even baked a fresh loaf of sourdough bread!). Stroud is a quaint, funky little village and Kate's location is ideal if you're hiking the Cotswolds Way.

Property exceeded our expectations. the security was excellent and other tenants very quiet. .On site car parking was excellent and also electric vehicle points were available if needed. Security was great and we felt very safe. Other people were very quiet, however also friendly. Kitchen was well stocked and very usable.with everything we needed including a decent pair of scissors,

This cozy and beautiful apartment had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the location was excellent for our needs since we were exploring Cotswold villages and towns. The apartment had free parking right next to the building.

What great value - secure parking , host amazing - facilities just what I needed - couldn’t fault my stay .

It was so carefully and thoughtfully designed to be homely yet very stylish and funky. Lots of lovely details, good quality kitchen ware and beautiful artwork. I’d just love to live there! Location was also excellent. It’s wonderful to stay somewhere with live (not plastic) plants and the place felt cared for and loved by the owners.
