Lesley and Emilie are a mother and daughter team who continue to welcome guests in The Laurels tradition which was begun by Lesley and her late husband (Emilie's father), Richard more than thirty years ago. We give our guests space, but are available when needed. We live on site - one in the main house and the other in a separate cottage within the grounds. Both have extensive knowledge of the area and local scene. We are proud to share our home with our wolfdogs, and with guests who appreciate the special nature of the place.

Important to note is that The Laurels has resident WOLFDOGS, which is a reason why many people come to stay to interact with these special creatures. If you don't like dogs, perhaps you should look elsewhere. It is a spacious shared house, ideal for business guests as well as visitors to our lovely area. The building is unique and rambling (the newest addition is dated circa 1780). The house, garden and residents can be described as quirky. The rooms are spread over three floors - so make sure you contact us if you wish to know about the number of stairs you will need to climb. Our Two Roomed-Suite has a number of options at different prices. Single = 1 person 1 bed 1 room Double = 2 people 1 bed 1 room Twin = 2 people 2 beds 2 rooms Group = 3 max 4 people 2 beds 2 rooms Please ensure you select the correct option and price rate at the time of booking. Due to our popularity and the number of rooms available we reserve the right to re-allocate a room relevant to your booking.

Neighborhood info

The Laurels lies just off the A46 in the small hamlet of Inchbrook, between Nailsworth and Woodchester. Around the corner is a bus stop where you can easily reach Stroud, Gloucester and Cheltenham. The Nailsworth to Stonehouse cycle route is just across the road. The railway station at Stroud is 3 miles away; the M5 8 miles and the M4 15 miles. A short walk from the house (520m) takes you to the entrance of Woodchester Park, with the first splendid lake 680m further along the track. We are less than a mile from the vibrant town of Nailsworth with its pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops, and in the other direction 3 miles from Stroud which is noted for its Saturday Farmer's market. Gloucester is 20 minutes away by car, and access to the whole of the Cotswolds is easy.
