I stayed for two nights with my two Shih Tzu dogs and didn’t leave the farm, enjoying the farm animals, birds, and the intriguing sights and sounds, and also spent time reading his book about Renagour, which added to the experience. Fig is super friendly, and a joy. Fresh honey or feed the horses, plenty to explore.
Check-in and check-out were straightforward, and it’s an easy drive from Wellington. I will definitely return when I need downtime.

The location is perfectly nestled in the hills and provides an excellent launching point to see many features (national parks, river cafes, waterfalls) and so much more. My whole family liked everything about the accomodation. Greeted by a very welcoming and warm staff at the reception upon checking in. The location was perfect. Very accessible to almost everything. The room is clean and tidy considering that the property is old but the cleanliness is beyond my expectations.
Will definitely be going back to stay.

During his stay at the motel while working in the area, our data technician highlighted several positives: a good sense of safety and security, a comfortable bed, and the host's exceptional accommodation by allowing an early check-in for rest before his late work hours, as well as a convenient late check-out. He said he would be very happy to stay there again in the future.

We stayed at a lovely hotel near a snow mountain with stunning views. Though it looks outdated, everything in the room was functional. The restaurant and café were cozy, enhancing our holiday vibe. We didn't try the busy common spa. The only downside was the noise from the neighboring room's footsteps. The price is also reasonable. Overall, a pleasant stay!

The accomodation was good. It was clean and comfortable. Booking at the restaurant was easy. Check in and check out was easy and helpful. It had nice views and I enjoyed walking around the site and nearby trail to see the sunrise over Mt. Ngaurahoe. It’s the closest accomodation to Mt Ruapehu! It was a pleasant and comfortable stay for one night made great by the proximity to the mountains as well as the Tawhai Falls walk (Gollums Pool). It was awesome value overall.

Great stay again at the Hacienda, the owners are just genuinely nice people who care about your stay. Spotlessly clean as always. The spa bath is deep and there's plenty of nice hot water.
This is our go to accommodation when in Palmy.
