The staff was very good. We needed to catch an early ferry I. The morning so they made us a very lovely box breakfast to take with us. They also made sure we settled in even though we were late arriving due to flight cancellations.

Beautiful, dramatic location. Small but comfortable and modern studio built in traditional style. Cláudio was exceedingly helpful with everything we asked! Highly recommended.

Pico Vineyard exceeded every expectation! From the moment we arrived, the entire staff made us feel genuinely welcome with their warmth and professionalism. Every interaction was pleasant and thoughtful.
Our room was absolutely perfect: spacious, beautifully appointed, and spotlessly clean. It struck the ideal balance between comfort and elegance, with lovely touches that made our stay feel special. The facilities throughout the hotel were equally impressive—modern, well-maintained, and immaculately clean.

Quiet. After dark, the only sound was a barking dog 3 km away. Sometimes enveloping silence. This was the perfect place for me near the sea. Quiet and serenity was what I wanted after 2 weeks of bouncing between 7 Açorean Islands.

Elizabete and Thelma are what make this property shine! Their breakfasts were some of the best we’ve had while traveling! Proactive correspondence before arrival, personal recommendations, property tours, and after hours responses were thoughtful and made our stay remarkable.
The ability to have a little extra time on the property at the end of our stay was so appreciated!!
We gladly spent a day poolside doing nothing and then explored the coastline on foot using the walking trails just across from the property. Not to be missed just down the street: Joe’s Bar! Right on the beach, May 1-Oct. 30.
Other perks:
- Communal fridge access for guests
- Honor bar for soda/alcohol
- House-made liquors and wine
- Access to full kitchen + cooking supplies
- Towel warmer in bathroom
- Secluded location along the coast
- Separate WC and shower near pool
- Indoor/Outdoor patio

This place left me speechless, so speechless I struggle finding the words to describe its beauty! With the turquoise ocean at your doorstep and glorious Pico mountain on the other side, your only dilemma will be which view to savor 😊
The villa itself it spacious, beautiful, modern and comfortable. Remote enough to provide perfect privacy for a getaway, yet very central and close to the center. Taisiya, as an amazing host, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and stayed available, helpful and super friendly throughout.
This is not just an accommodation, this is an experience in itself.
All I can say is thank you to the hosts for making this place available to others and sharing this beauty! I look forward to being back💙

A very tranquil location, nice spacious cabin, lots of privacy and places to relax, incredibly kind and helpful staff. They’ve got lots of great info about the island and there’s a partner restaurant that is very nice as well.

The place is very small, and there was just 1 cafè and 1 snack bar. Though, consdering Pico is a 15k people islands, we found there more than strolling around the rest of the island. Just be ready and don't expect restaurants or big facilities that, on the other side, once you know it, maybe it'is also what I liked the most

You just can´t go wrong!
When on the island it one of the most balanced and coziest places to stay. The food is home made like grandma quality with a morden twist. It’s my preferred spot with the best meat and the freshest fish and the best azorean secret “Lapas”. The wow factor is there. i’ve just come back!

I am rating PICO, not Santa Luzia.
I am rating PICO, not Santa Luzia. Santa Luzia is a small village and good startpoint, close to airport.
If you want to go walking to the top of Pico, take walking shoos with you. Otherwise you are not allowed to do the walking.
We recommend to visit Cella Bar Restaurant in Madalena. Nice view, nice food and a place to take a bath.
Santa Luzia is a small place. To get around of the Pico island you need the car.
The children liked the baths in the hot tubes.

Cais do Mourato is a small area outside of Madalena, There are many restaurants nearby. In Cais do Maurato there is a restaurant calls The Stones that is only open during tourist season. Unfortunately my trip was not at that time. But just down the street is the Cella Bar which was nice. And in Madalena, I enjoyed O Cinco, Petisca, Atmosfera, Paprika, Taberna do Canal and the Atlantic Tea House. For wineries, there is one a minute or two away Azores Wine Company. And the others are all within easy driving.

The marked walk I did from Prainha gave a great deal of variety whilst not at all busy.
Casa dos Vulcões at Lajido was well worth doing for the interactive experience but you do need to book in advance.
Restaurants in the centre of town don't always have a free table but I had to problem with the ones to the south of the town.
I eat at Taberna Do Canal and A Parisiana which were both good.

Very close to Madalena, but much quieter. There is a large Continental supermarket that has anything you'd want. Easy location to drive to other areas of the island or to catch the ferry to Faial (we took our rental car on the ferry - booked our tickets the day before at the harbor).

It’s a good compromise for exploring the place - there is a rental car in town, it’s close to a junction so you can explore half of the island at at time. During my stay, it was also considerably more sunny then the other locations! It’s a small town, but not too quiet and has a few choices of restaurants and a big supermarket. the little harbour is great: the whaling museum was a nice distraction during a rainy day and when the weather got better, it was time for a swim!

The accommodation is few km's from Madelena and, to be flexible, you need a car to get there. Nice to walk over the lava boulders, enjoy the view at Failal and Sao Jorge. Go to the Terra Alto, nice quiet landscape.

I went there to scuba dive and Madelena is a perfect location between two excellent Dive Shops: CWAzores and Twin Peaks. I recommend O Cinco for food. Madalena is a perfect location to stage a vacation to have access to all the other towns, museums and activities.

São Roque is very spread out, so a car is needed if you stay outside the heart of the village.
Most restaurants were closed, so dining out was tricky (end of March). It is worth staying in a self catering place when going off season.
The minimarket by the fire-station is well stocked.
Safe swimming spot at the Naval Club.
Close to hiking trails.
