We loved the size of room, very spacious.
We loved the size of room, very spacious. We appreciate the facilities, cleanliness, private bathroom, beautiful view of mountains through window as we were top floor on a right which was awesome. The beds were comfy. The room has everything you need. The owner was so lovely and helpful. The village is small and cute. The property got good spot, 5 min from airport and 30 mins to Tatrianska Polianka by train. Bus nearby as well. We definitely coming back.😃

This is the village where my husband's grandfather lived...
This is the village where my husband's grandfather lived most of his life until he was about 17/18 years old. We came to explore our family tree and ended up meeting about 19 family members during our 2 night stay in Batizovce. We also drove up to the High Tatras (just 30 minutes away) and walked around the lake at Strbske Pleso then enjoyed a lovely meal at the Grand Hotel Kempinski. Our only complaint was that there really isn't a fully operational restaurant in the village. We had to drive to Svit (which was only about 5 minutes away) but we would have preferred to walk somewhere. The village only has 9,500 residents so maybe they just don't have the numbers to have a restaurant that is open more than a few hours each day.

very berautiful city with surrounding mountains. This part of slovakia is the most interesting with surrounding mountains and scenic views unlike bratislava
Facilities eg train station buses pretty good. Supermarket locations very good and open 7 days.

Nova Lesna is The Perfect Place to stay when you want to...
Nova Lesna is The Perfect Place to stay when you want to visit the High Tatras. It is close, it has great value for money and has some really beautiful places to stay at with spectacular view. I have been here twice so far but definitely will come back every time we want to go hiking in these beautiful mountains. The train is close by and quick, there are shops here and so many options to choose where you want to stay.

A small, still developing village with many new or under-construction properties. The road infrastructure is in poor condition, so it's advisable to drive carefully. I didn’t find any shops, ATMs, or restaurants in the area, so I drove to Poprad, which is about 5 minutes away. Starý Smokovec and Tatranská Lomnica are just a 10-minute drive, making this a great value-for-money base for hiking trips.

A very beautiful part of Slovakia, a perfect place to visit and explore if you like mountains, lakes, mountain huts, sports, including climbing, walking, and cycling, wildlife and being outdoors. The Aqua city water complex in Poprad Tatry is a perfect place to swim especially with children. The electric railway line is a perfect way to travel around the area.

every thing was perfect from start to finish. very clean and warm cottage in the middle of cold winter.so much snow around and like u r in the middle of nowhere.

Perfect location for exploring the High Tatra mountains.
Perfect location for exploring the High Tatra mountains. Very close to restaurants and attractions. Our top tips for attractions within half an hour drive from Smokovce:
- Bachledova TreeTop walk
- Walk around Strbske Lake
- Strednica Parking Photo Point. FREE. A hidden gem. Best views of the Tatra Mountains. Walk down to the 2 lakes.
- Hrebienok funicular and Ladovy Dom (this was closed for maintenance but we heard great things about it).
Top tip for the most overrated and expensive attraction (i.e. not recommended): Mount Lomnicky Stit cable car by Tatranska Lomnica (we got a return ticket to Skalnate Pleso).
Best restaurant in Smokovce: Manuel Caffe & Bistro Italian restaurant.

It's my 3rd stay in this place and I find it convenient.
It's my 3rd stay in this place and I find it convenient. Either going for hikes or visit Poprad town there is no issues as there is a train that can bring you to any of those locations every hour. It's quiet place and perfect to relax and recover from daily mountain trips!
Will definitely return there again!
