The amenities are complete with large TV, air conditioning, humidifier, kitchenette, bath tub, sound system, and a very large duvet. More than that, the contact person, Toshi, handles your needs in a personal manner no hotel can offer. From greetings, to suggestions, to specific inquiries about the tourist attractions. All in all, a superb facility!

I love that it was in a neighborhood away from the tourist area and we got to figure out how to use the bus to get there. I thought it was a wonderful place it wasn't super convenient to get around but obviously that is quite it's going to happen when you're up the hill.

This was so well set up for travelers, with lots of attention to arrangement and amenities such as washing machine detergent and kitchen utensils. The beds were comfortable with plugs and lighting. The flooring was beautiful and everything was very clean. We found a great breakfast spot just a 5 min. walk away. It is close to one of the major temples.

A traditional Japanese home, furnished with gorgeous mid-century modern details and yards of tatami mats, with a charming garden, little secret tea houses, against a backdrop of blue bamboo. Not to mention the deep stone ofuro. It was in the 40s F, and the main part of the house was quite chilly at night, however there were plenty of rooms that stayed warm if you closed the door. Bring a warm robe if you're concerned. We slept in the main bedroom, on futons with big, fluffy comforters and were perfectly cozy all night. Honestly, this place was a dream, an idyll I can only hope to revisit someday. If you get to stay here, please be respectful and gentle.
