The location, the quality, the welcome, the room, the balcony and the view! The continental breakfast is simple but it serves the purpose. Hams, cheeses, fruits, breads, cereals, granola mix, good coffee, tea, juices!

The Gala House felt like “coming home”. I was well looked after and the owners went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The room had a stunning view of Knocknarea, which has often filled my memories and made me long to go back to County Sligo. I was exhausted after a long travel day and couldn’t wait to go to bed. I slept so well and woke up feeling much better. (I was given sage advice from the owner on how to beating jet lag and it worked!) The Gala house was clean, cosy and comfortable. Walking down to the beach is quick and easy and the town has lots of great choices for food and drinks. I hope to return soon. Thank You everyone at Gala House!

This place is lovely, the breakfast is good, and the rooms are so comfortable. I arrived late on a Sunday so was struggling for dinner and she had all the info on every place nearby and helped get me sorted! She’s so nice (but not intrusive) and I can’t recommend it more!

Had a great sleep just stopped here on my way up north. The best thing about it is the private beach at the end of the road. Had a lovely night swim. Breakfast was lovely too. Thanks Robert..

The Driftwood holds a very special place in my heart and my partner and I have shared a lot of beautiful memories here. The staff are always accommodating, The location is ideal for anyone who loves a seaside view on your doorstep. The room is just incredible. It's spacious with a very comfortable bed and we always opt for a room with a bathtub. This is always going to be our go-to when in the area and in need of relaxation. A true hidden gem.

The little touches. The bedroom was decorated beautifully! The restaurant boasted a varied and exciting menu - it was really hard to choose! The staff were accommodating and friendly! The Driftwood is in the perfect location for strolls, the nearby Hotbox Sauna and the gorgeous beaches! We’ll be back!
