Clean, convenient and great service.

I was really looking forward to staying here, unfortunately due to a family situation, I was unable to stay. I advised Kate & Jake as soon as possible, they were great & responded. I was so disappointed I could not stay.

Felt like a home, great outdoor space to relax, exceptionally welcoming host and good location to get anywhere. (I walked to most of the sights and events)

Lovely hosts, beautiful retreat setting, so quiet, very comfortable cottage with lovely lanai. Ask about the craft brewery!

Everything was outstanding the owners are exceptional people with a quirky dream place. Location ,cleanliness, Breakfast g/f , facilities, it was an amazing stay thank you Lorraine & Gerald for sharing a little bit of your paradise home with us.

We stayed at Pohutukawa Batch for 8 days while in town for family business, and it was an awesome place to stay. Even though the weather was cold, windy, and rainy, the batch was warm and inviting, with two heaters that kept us extra cosy the whole time. The batch is fully equipped — unlike some places that only provide the basics. We cooked dinner every night for four people and had everything we needed with no issues at all. We also found the price amazing for everything included — honestly felt underpriced for the comfort and quality we got. The batch was spotless, and the beds were soft and comfortable, giving us some of the best sleeps we’ve had in a long time. If you love fishing, you’ll love the location. It’s just a short walk across the road to the beach. I caught kahawai and trevally — just cast towards the buoys and chur chur! The shower is hot with perfect water pressure, which made coming back from the cold even better. The main town is only a short drive away, so everything is nice and convenient. The owners live upstairs and are warm, friendly, and very chill people, so don’t be shy. We also loved the family photos and learning a little about the history of the house — you can really feel the love and care the family has put into this place. All I can say is highly recommend — definitely 10 out of 10!

This location is perfect for those looking for a quiet and beautiful spot. I happened to be sick when I arrived, but it was still a lovely place to settle into. The room is cozy, and was clean when I arrived. There were basic amenities which made simple cooking possible. It's a great place for those looking to get away!

New, modern and clean, it was a perfect spot for a getaway. Kate was friendly, greeting us as we arrived and had lots of tips about exploring the area.

Andrew did such a great job putting everything together. The views are amazing and the value is great for the size of accommodation and the little details are fantastic.
