The stuff and all the things were perfect!

The highlight of our stay at Malkata House was undoubtedly Seed's hospitality. He and the chef looked after us exceptionally well throughout our four-night stay and genuinely made us feel welcome and comfortable. The property itself is beautifully decorated in a traditional Arabic style, with plenty of seating areas spread across different floors where guests can relax and enjoy the atmosphere. We loved spending time in these communal spaces. The staff were also very accommodating when I asked about laundry. As a family of five, I had a full bag of washing and didn't want to be charged per item. The staff kindly agreed to wash the entire bag for USD 10, which I thought was very reasonable. After long days sightseeing in the heat, it was a huge help. The location is excellent for exploring the area. It is only a five-minute walk from the fascinating Medinet Habu, and from the rooftop and upper floors you can enjoy views towards the Valley of the Kings. Our children especially enjoyed cooling off in the pool every day. Overall, Malkata House offers warm hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and a wonderfully peaceful escape from the crowds.

Great place with good location. It was spacious and clean, having everything you actually need. Guys are extremely helpful and generous, would recommend with no doubt.

location was great. a short 10 mins ride from the airport. Facilities were good including the wi-fi. The staff helped us book a earling mornign balloon ride which was a very last minute request from our side. Breakfast spread was good too.

Clean beds, toilets, and everything else. Next to the Nile. Private pool. There is a mini supermarket near. The host Hamdi is super friendly and help us out during the whole stay. We even took another day at the apartment.

It's very difficult to find a place where you truly feel like you're with your family, especially for my husband and me because we move frequently. However, I highly recommend this place in Luxor to anyone looking for excellent people, particularly the manager, Mahmoud. He's incredibly polite and respectful and always willing to help. Honestly, this place is beautiful and deserves a much higher rating than others on Booking.com. The breakfast was also delicious. I loved this place and will definitely return.

Good breakfast, incredible staff (kind, helpful, attentive, patient), refreshing pool. Property is like an oasis. If you're looking for a place to stay that's not in the chaos of the city, this is it! Since more of the things we wanted to do (Valley of Kings, of Queens, of Nobles, of Artisans, Temples, Memnon, Ballon rides) were on the West Bank, and because we wanted quietness, this was the perfect spot for us. Taxis can be arranged by the staff to get you to the East Bank activities as well.

In this hotel I not only found a safe, quiet and beautiful place to be, I found a family and friends who opened their doors to me to show me their customs, culture, family, wifes, children, parents and typical food, their neighborhood and the streets that are filled of children and people who give smiles. Thank you all for being part of this journey full of experiences and always being willing to help.

We had a great time at Villa Kaslan. We went with our family of four. The apartment is super spacious and very comfortable. The best part of staying here is the customer service. Everyone here is super friendly. They prepare food here if you need. The owner is always in contact with you. The apartment is very clean and they have great showers. The view is amazing. the room was big and with all facilities, the breakfast very good and garden and pool very clean. We had an amazing stay and Ahmet ad his father Kerim were very kind and helped us with everything.

A wonderful apartment, with a huge wrap-around balcony overlooking a banana plantation. Perfect place to relax in peaceful surroundings but not cut-off from life on the west bank. Spacious layout inside, with a lot of care given to how the place should look: furniture and decor give a contemporary feel but with some items adding a typically Egyptian touch. Modern, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Everything in the apartment worked well, which in my experience isn't invariably the case in Egypt. You are very well looked after by the owner who is so friendly and easy to talk to. There are a couple of lads on hand ready to offer help at any time. Breakfast taken at adjoining small hotel, outdoors in attractive garden. For 7 dollars you got a lot of different dishes, some Egyptian others more international, all well cooked and presented. Good place too for lunch or dinner: quality excellent. Some items you have to order an hour or two in advance. Hotel pool and gardens there for you when you want. Bikes available and tuk-tuks very easy to come by.

The Bedouin Lodge offers a fantastic opportunity to relax, sleep, and dine in a rustic, authentic setting. The rooms are private, clean, and well-sized, with private bathrooms that are fully equipped. The breakfast features very tasty, fresh food, and they can accommodate vegetarians upon request. The hangout areas are great; my wife and I enjoyed every sunset there. Its proximity to all the sites on the west bank is a major plus, and they can offer very competitive prices for experiences like hot air balloon rides. We will definitely return!

I honestly don’t even know where to begin—this place is absolutely incredible! The views are breathtaking, and the apartment was very spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Sadly, we only had one night here, and I wasn’t feeling well during our stay, so I missed out on enjoying the rooftop and restaurant area myself. My husband, however, spent half a day up on the rooftop in complete bliss, just reading and soaking it all in. He had lunch and dinner at the restaurant and said they were amongst the best meals he had in all of Egypt! What truly blew us away was the hospitality. The owner and every single staff member went above and beyond to take care of us. They even went to the store to get me crackers and brought me a fenugreek tea to help with my stomach upset. That kind of care is so rare—hospitality at its absolute finest. Breakfast (although once again I did not get to try it), was abundant and fresh. We’ll 100% be back, and next time it won’t be for just one night. This place is heaven on earth!

Mostafa is such a great guy, he is very helpful always there if you need anything. He help us a lot to find places and tours with great prices

The apartment is beautifully decorated and has lots of character and charm. Mohammad is a kind, gracious host, and was very accommodating during our stay. Keep in mind, this is in west bank which can feel a little rural but is absolutely worth staying in to get some peace and quiet after a long day of exploring the chaotic east side. The villa is also conveniently located near multiple restaurants, coffee shops, and supermarkets. Getting to the east bank takes 5 minutes via boat.

When it comes to taking care of guests, I have not seen anyone spend the time and effort like Mostafa. We loved the hospitality. Our flight from Cairo was delayed by 2 hours and still he was standing there with a big smile on his face. We are vegetarians and it was already 9 PM. We asked him to find some place for vegetarian food and he make a phone call. Little did we realize that we have amazing lentil soup, bread, vegetables, beans all setup ready by the time we reached the apartment. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. We had asked him to arrange transport for 2 days in luxor and 2 days in aswan with one day going to Abu Simbel. Great comfortable cars with good guides were all arranged without any issue. We had a great breakfast and dinner at his house. We felt at home with family and we even learnt to cook from his family. The apartment was spacious and clean. It is a little far from the hustle and bustle of east bank but the hospitality makes up for it. Even when we were in Aswan, he constantly followed up with us to make sure that everything was ok. Overall, very satisfied with the stay

This apartment truly made me feel at home. It’s located on the more authentic and budget-friendly side of Luxor, which I personally preferred. The atmosphere is more local, relaxed, and less hectic than the main tourist areas. I loved taking the inexpensive local ferry across the Nile for a sunset drink, then heading back for a well-priced dinner. It was easy and added to the charm of staying on this side. Major sites are also very accessible. Valley of the Kings was an easy Uber ride away. For a longer day trip, I hired their driver Said, who is a member of the family, and he took excellent care of me during our visit to Abydos and Dendera Temple Complex. Having someone trustworthy and knowledgeable made the experience smooth and stress-free. If you’re looking for a comfortable, authentic base in Luxor with great local support, I highly recommend staying here.

If you’re looking for a place in Luxor that feels like home, but cleaner, friendlier, and run by someone who actually likes you, this is it. The owner, Tayeb—whose name literally means “good-hearted person” in Arabic —might as well have been named “Human Golden Retriever.” From the second we walked in, he treated us like long-lost cousins finally returning to the homeland for a proper feeding…. even if those cousins happen to be one slightly sarcastic, grumpy Egyptian with an identity crisis and one extra-white American beauty from upstate New York who had never set foot in Egypt before. And then there’s Luciana, objectively the cutest dog in Upper Egypt (don’t argue with me), along with a few rescued cats who’ve clearly decided they own the place now. As animal lovers, my wife and I basically ascended into heaven. The man doesn’t just love his animals; he’s out here rescuing neighborhood strays like some Upper Egyptian Avengers initiative. If kindness was a profession, Tayeb would be a tenured professor. The house itself? Pure Nubian beauty. He designed and built it twenty years ago with his friend, back when he was still deep in the tourism world. The place is basically an art gallery pretending to be a home. Murals on the walls, handmade furniture, artifacts and trinkets everywhere. You don’t just stay there; you browse it like you’re in a living museum curated by a man powered exclusively by hospitality and tea. When it was time to leave, we hugged goodbye like brothers torn apart by the cruel winds of travel schedules. It already felt like we were leaving family behind.

Good location, super good. Like people always say it's hard to go to the West Bank. But this hotel is just located very close to the ferry port, and we can simply just walk to the hotel in a short time from the port! Clean enough, good experience with an affordable price

We stayed in the sister hotel, Leyla resort, as the one we booked was not available at the last minute. The flat was beautiful with a fantastic view and had everything we needed for a good trip. Location was quite remote on the west bank but we enjoyed the walk to the main road and it meant it was peaceful at all times of the day. Such good value and would definitely stay again, this time I would just book Leyla from the beginning.

My husband and I enjoyed very much our stay. We definitely recommend it to everyone. *The place has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. *They offer food from a close by restaurant and it is delicious. *The pool is well keep and it is great for relaxing. *The location is the perfect middle point to everything (Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens is 10-15 minutes drive. Within 15 minutes walk you get to the harbor where you can cross by boat directly to Luxor temple or Karnak Temple). We both felt extremely welcome. Mahmoud, Mohammed and Ibrahim were amazing hosts, they speak good English and are very kind. Casa Loko can also arrange different tours for you.

The staff are the best, very co-operative and flexible, ready to go an extra mile for you. The place is clean and comfortable. The price is good. Highly recommended.

Very friendly people, which will help you with everything, a very quiet and safe area, a beautiful garden with a nice smell, and very cool air thanks to the garden. Traveling to the other site costs 35 cents with the ferry and 2-3 euros with the private motor boat. It's very fast. A private boat only takes like 5 minutes. The ferry is the same, but sometimes you have to wait up to 20 minutes. Would always choose the west bank in Luxor. Much better location and is even cheaper. Clean and friendly area, with no tourist traps, and still so near the center
