Fantastic location - perfect for enjoying ambleside, langdale and eltwater! The accomodation was perfectly equipped and very cosy with lovely forest views. Very impressed!

Very easy booking system and updates from Alun with regards to our stay. The location is fabulous, a short drive from the large tourist areas meant that the property was much quieter. The room was clean and comfortable and we particularly liked the unique and quirky charm of the building. We would definitely stay again.

The location is amazing and the views are hard to beat. The quiet and nice hotel really lets you escape and just take a breath. The staff are helpful and nice. The rooms are spacious. The bar and restaurant really help you stay put and enjoy the stay.

Everything was absolutely brilliant for our stay ,the local is fantastic and parking was at the front door ,the room very cosy and warm ,bed very comfortable and shower amazing

The staff were very helpful. My Husband had asked if they could get some flowers and chocolates for when we arrived as it was my birthday. The room was nice and cosy. Breakfast was delicious.

Location was perfect. The room was so cute. Loved the balcony. Breakfast was delicious. It was nice to get a coffee made by the cafe; this felt special, instead of just drip coffee. All the staff I interacted with were very kind. I would definitely stay here again if ever in Grasmere. Thank you!

Absolutely wonderful! Location was great, Iain is wonderful and makes a fantastic (and accommodating) breakfast! 20 minute walk away from the rydal caves. Comfortable beds with lovely amenities. 100% would come again!

Lovely manor house in the town of Ambleside- made us feel like royalty- the hosts Jill and Andrew were attentive and easy to talk too- they recommended several places to visit in the area which we added to our daily outings- you will also love Ambleside itself, walking distance from the house with a lively high street , plenty of restaurant choices and darling shops and pubs We liked it so much more than Windermere, that was just down the road Oh and full English breakfast and other choices was superb! A great start to our day

The Location was very good - close to rydel cave trail and restaurants, parking was close, the kitchen was well stocked, the living room was welcoming, and the beds were comfortable.
