It is a perfect place to stay if you want some quiet time in Madeira. The apartment was basic but this was all we needed. The owner was very friendly, we loved cats wandering around. Breakfast was simple but good (amazing bacon!). Staying in Casas do Campo do Pomar gave us a great Madeiran experience. We moved to Funchal for the next 3 days and even though the hotel was good we were happy we could experience a not so touristic place as Santana

Casa de Proteas is a lovely place to stay. Theresa was such a brilliant hostess, she made it feel like home.Breakfast was just right to set you up for the day.
