The tranquility, being in nature and far away from the city life, this place offers that and more. We had an amazing time with my family. We love Rockwood Lodges, it was not our first time at the property and we are definitely coming back.

The location was great, with lovely views of the forest and scenery. Overall, the place was clean and the fireplace was a great bonus given that it rained most of the time and was cold. The facilities were functional and extras (tea, coffee, condiments) were provided. Our hosts were lovely, and promptly fixed a clog drain when informed.

The rooms were very nice and clean. The beds were excellent and so were the pillows. Staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was brilliant. We also had dinner and that was lovely. Our main reason for staying over was to play golf and a halfway house on route to Umhlanga

All cabins in Yarrow

Looking for a cabin?

For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.

The cabin is very well equipped and comfortable, with magnificent views over the tree canopy towards Karkloof. We were supplied with endless wood, for our log fire in the lounge, which kept the cool evenings cozy. The cabin has a "quirky" feel about it, which we loved.

The views from the cabin are breathtaking. We loved the natural wood feel of the decor. Thought had been put into all amenities in the kitchen. It was so well kitted out

The location is beautiful and the cabin fits perfectly with its surroundings, with plenty of character and charm. Peta gave us a warm welcome and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. There was an abundance of firewood, including kindling (which is rare). Beds were comfortable and the cookware, crockery and glassware are top quality (also rare). The view from the balcony is nothing short of spectacular!

Shawn welcomed us when we arrived and shared interesting information about the area, biodiversity and people. The cabin is more like a chalet. It feels safe and is fairly secluded. Very well equipped
