Agnes Water and nearby 1770 is a lay back region with a few hidden gems. Go to the Tourist Information Centre first to get a map of where things are. There is one Op-Shop, but it is cheap and extensive and worth going to. There is a few shops. There is a good one at the garage, so don't miss it. There are take away shops, restaurants and a tavern. The tavern is great for a hot lunch. Make sure you go on the Larc (Light Amphibious Recovery Craft). There is a one hour, 2 hour and full day tours. These are worth the money and an enjoyable experience. The day tour is the best and a bucket list item.

The walk on the beach with our dogs and of course my old time favourite when we go to Agnes Water is the breakfast at Codie's Place, excellent value for money and a nice atmosphere for any meal times, highly recommend it.

Nothing super special about the area, Not the sort of place...
Nothing super special about the area, Not the sort of place you would visit again and again, one or two trips and nothing else to see. The beaches etc were average at best and not a lot to do after once you have done the Amphibious trip and been to the top of Mount cook road. and seen one sunset over the bay.

Weather was poor, that said if the weather is great you tend to do so many activities its great but if it is poor you will be bored off your brain, only one pub, only a few decent restaurants to speak of. The area is very widespread so you have to drive everywhere.

Lovely town the beach, good beach and facilities including food outlets. Good small walks at Agnes and 1770. Good place to take your boat and access to the great barrier reef.Slower pace so you can have a relaxing break away .

Agnes Water is a lovely place to holiday.
Agnes Water is a lovely place to holiday. The beach and there are many walking paths. There are a variety of cafes/restaurants. Some are BYO. We would definitely recommend Agnes Water to others.

This property was absolutely perfect! 4 gorgeous bedrooms, spacious living area with the most serene outlook, terrific outdoor entertaining area, and a media room for the kids, including added ammenities for your comfort in each space such as board games, pool towels, and a generous supply of dishwashing pods (we know they usually skimp on those!) just to name a few. Plus - its all within a short stroll to the beach and a minutes drive to the shops. We were able to enjoy all Agnes Water and 1770 had to offer with ease.

Agnes bush cabins is absolutely fantastic! I believe it’s not long been opened and facilities are immaculate with great attention to detail, the staff are very friendly and the biggest plus is that you can have your dog there!
There are also fire pits, a bbq and cooking facilities and you’re surrounded by beautiful Australian bush, we were lucky enough to have some kangaroos hanging around each morning.
It’s only 5 Ks out of the main town and close by is a beautiful local coffee roaster and cafe 1770 coffee co.

My beautiful partner and I had a wonderful stay. The room was large, very comfortable and clean. The pool area is lovely with a splendid view along the beach. Our host could not have been more accommodating. The motel is very close and easily accessible from Agnes Waters, yet has a secluded feel about it. We will be back again and again.
