MalaysiaWe were on a 2-week roadtrip along the Great Ocean road, then up to Grampians and Ballarat before moving on to east Victoria, and this place is definitely the best that we stayed at! It was truly amazing. Sharon was a wonderful host, so pleasant and kind. She warmly welcomed us when we checked in, gave a tour of the place and went the extra length to provide us with a fully stocked fridge, bread, cereals for breakfast and even coffee/hot chocolate to drink.
The house was so cozy, with a huge TV and super comfy beds. The electric blanket was a blessing during the cold nights.
Overall I would give this place 10 stars, and even more for the lovely host. We will definitely be back in Ballarat and will stay here again.

A quaint little town at the foot of Sovereign Hill.
A quaint little town at the foot of Sovereign Hill. A couple of pubs to choose from, some fast food joints and lots of hotels/motels on the main strip. We were happy to find a Gluten Free food shop for sweet and savoury baked goods and other hot food. The coffee there was good too.

Very convenient location to most tourist attractions, but...
Very convenient location to most tourist attractions, but need your own transport/car. No security gate to main entrance and did not feel safe at night. Small unit but comfortable for a short stay. Secure parking, fridge, microwave, washing machine/drier, iron (needs a new iron-board cover), mini dishwasher, might have to do a second round with dishes/glasses) No fans in bedrooms and a portable heater if it gets cold. Just a reverse cycle in the main family room. Carry your own tissue boxes, kitchen roll, microwave cover for food if going to use. There is a walk in cupboard space attached in the main bedroom but a child's cot occupies that area making it difficult to store your belongings or hang clothes.
