We got brekkie from the bakery was delicious and they're open around 8am I think. Even on a Sunday! The stars of the evening on a clear night are absolutely phenomenal! I sat out the back for around half an hour and enjoyed the milky way, shooting stars & satellites.

My wife, two friends, and I had the absolute pleasure of being the very first guests at this stunning converted church in St Andrews, and what an experience it was! From the moment we stepped inside, we were in awe. The old church has been lovingly and impeccably renovated. It now blends the charm of its original architecture with all the comforts of a modern retreat. The space is simply breathtaking. The high ceilings and open layout give it a wonderful, airy feel, and the natural light just pours in. We loved the thoughtful design touches, and each of the two bedrooms—one on the mezzanine level and one tucked away at the back—was cozy and comfortable. It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. Mario, the host, was outstanding. His communication was amazing—quick, kind, and helpful from start to finish. You can tell he genuinely cares about creating a great experience for his guests. A perfect host in every sense! As the first guests, we felt like we discovered a hidden gem. If you’re looking for a unique stay with a lot of character and a bit of history, you can’t go wrong here. We’ll definitely be back!

Loved the reception we got upon arival, such a friendly, warm welcome. Kerry showed us through the accommodation and it was very nice. So quite and relaxing stay. Loved the wood fire and was so clean throughout. Very comfortable recliner chair in lounge room. We ate at Maryborough each night, which is only half an hour away. The only disappointment was that we didn't find any gold over the few days there. We will be back for sure. Thank you, Kerry

Dunolly Bakery is worth a visit.

Dunolly Bakery is worth a visit. Everything we bought was fresh and tasty. Most shops are closed weekdays except the bakery, chemist and pub. The rest of the shops are only open on Saturdays for tourists.

Dunolly is a nice, quiet little town, full of history.

Dunolly is a nice, quiet little town, full of history. There is the Dunolly History Walk (1.82 km) - pick up a brochure and look at all the historic plaques and buildings along the way - most of them are on the Broadway and Market St. There the Railway Hotel (1861, but hasn't changed much since the 1880s.) It is supposedly haunted and the Royal Hotel (1856, but rebuilt 1894) which looked to be all closed up. The Dunolly Post Office 1891 is a beautiful historic building. I didn't see any other restaurants, just cafes and a bakery.

Rose Gold Cottage is in Dunolly, just a short walk to the shops in the main street. Dunolly is a small rural town in Victoria, but as we were there to do a bit of prospecting it was a perfect location. The cottage was beautifully decorated. The owner is very artistic and her talent can be seen throughout the rooms. Extremely comfortable and every little detail was thought through. The large, comfortable bed was welcome, and the host was very friendly and helpful. The price was exceptionally good for what you received.

The B & B was very quiet, clean and cosy and had everything I needed for a very comfortable stay. The cooking facilities were great to have and everything worked properly. It is very well presented and tastefully decorated. The main street was just metres away, so the historic walk was a must before dinner, as Dunolly is very historical with many churches and grand old buildings. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and there on site if i needed anything.

Had everything you needed for an overnight stay or for a long stay. Very convenient location, comfortable, quiet, large lawn area, private undercover outdoor space with table and chairs. Very nice large shower with excellent water pressure, separate toilet adjacent to bathroom. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in Dunolly.

Spotlessly clean, generous size with quality toiletries provided. The location is a couple of minutes' walk to "downtown Dunolly" (if there is such a thing!), but very quiet. Great air conditioning, turned on in advance by the host so the place was a comfortable temperature. Really everything you might need.

The photo didn't do it complete justice. It was much more spacious than I had imagined and it felt like a little home. It was quiet, private with off road parking. A walk into Dunolly. The owners were lovely and offered advice for places to go if we asked.
