Lakeside was above expectations, the staff went out of their way to help in every way. The lodge is beautiful, ski in and out. The hot tub was a hit with the grandkids after a day on the slopes. The food was amazing we will definitely be back!

A lovely motel, comfortable beds and spacious bathroom, very comfortable for my partner and I staying with our friend. The Manager Whitney is friendly, accommodating and very pleasant to deal with. This is our second stay at Mount Beauty Motor Inn and we will defiantly return again.

The space was incredibly considered and well designed. It made the most of the cost space, and 4 people were able to move around and store their belongings easily. The kitchen is one you actually want to cook in, and makes clever use of space. Wonderful balcony views and easy ski in and ski out.

A beautiful little town and perfect for my one night stay...

A beautiful little town and perfect for my one night stay before an early start on a 104 km ride to Beechworth. Nothing much open though and not much happening. Looked to be lots of nature walks though and would be jumping in the ski season . Ate at the pub and perfect for my purposes . very nice beer garden and ambiance .

It's a lovely place to relax over the weekend.

It's a lovely place to relax over the weekend. Spacious room for family and you can upgrade to a bigger one if you opt for more space. It's just 40 minutes drive going to Mt. Hotham summit which is absolutely wonderful.

The place is charming a typical country town that focuses itself on the pub hotel and motel. It's nice scenery with the mountain backdrop. But in reality, we only stayed there because it was cheaper than other places. And it was 20 minutes' drive to Bright. Bright is only good if you intend to go to the snow at Mount Buffalo or Fall's something. It's really bad having to make sure that you have chains for your tyres even if you are just going up to see the waterfall.

I come here for the annual music camp, but apart from that...

I come here for the annual music camp, but apart from that it is a beautiful part of Victoria which offers many outdoor activities and fine local produce. Bright is just 20 minutes away for a great holiday and shopping vibe and has all the services. The only issue is that with the Snowline pub closed for renovation there are fewer dining options. Also sadly the Tronoh dredge hole was closed for swimming due to blue-green algae, but the river is still there!

We only booked to stay at Harrietville because we originally...

We only booked to stay at Harrietville because we originally planned to leave our car in Hoys secured yard because chains would not fit on it so we couldn't take it up to Dinner Plain / Mt Hotham. However, with the ski season closing a week before we arrived we actually drove up to Dinner Plain the next day. That said, we were happy to stay in Harrietville, enjoying a nice dinner then breakfast there the next morning

Great location for our short stay visiting friends. Our room was a family room so huge, with a good sized bathroom. The evenings were cold so we appreciated the efficient air conditioning unit and the electric blanket. All the staff, from check-in to bar, were unfailingly cheerful and welcoming. It was good to have a kettle and toaster in the room as there are few breakfast options in Harrietville.

Location is perfect in beautiful Harrietville. This is our third time staying at Shady Brook Cottages. We love everything about the place. The peace and tranquillity of the beautiful gardens, together with the stream that goes through the property. The cottages are of such a high standard with quality fittings and are extremely warm and cosy. We can’t wait to return.
