Kilcunda is a hidden gem along the Bass Coast, perfect for those looking to unwind with uninterrupted ocean views and coastal charm. The Kilcunda Ocean View Motel was ideally located with clean rooms and great access to the beach and nearby lookout points. There’s a small general store and local cafés within walking distance, and the peaceful vibe of the town made for a relaxing overnight stop. Ideal for road-trippers and anyone seeking a scenic break without the crowd. Would love to return and explore the area more!

Nice clean room however small one chair and some maintenance issues no interraction with staff other than text messages. Overpriced relative to similar style accomodation. No parking out front to some of the rooms,

Scenic ocean views, great little coffee shop & deli “Udder & Hoe” & loved checking out the Sticks collective little hubs. Views over the ocean across the road. General store and as closed for refurbishment, but pub operating as normal & a few roadworks to negotiate around currently. Easy drive 5 minutes up the road to Sam remo for a shop at the IGA had us self sufficient though. Great peaceful spot away from the hustle of Cowes, but perfectly situated 10 minute drive to Phillip Island and the other side to Wonthaggi. Lush green, open ocean with a lovely cliff top walk along kilcunda beach and down to Shelly Beach. Also dogs allowed on lead at these beaches. Beautiful tree lined area. Enjoyed walks & great property options for a getaway.

We truly enjoyed our stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay. Our accommodation was exactly what was offered and Kilcunda is well situated to be able to explore many different areas, Phillip island, Inverloch. We plan to definitely make this our regular getaway spot

Kilcunda is a rugged area The beach is very scenic ,great for walking but definitrly not a safe swimming beach .Surfers do frequent the beach east of the motel . When the weather conditions are right rhe waves are huge and the views are awesome with the roar of the ocean as a backdrop.
